Those were really fun times on CF with many of us salivating as leaked information and photos slowly gave us clues to the awaited ‘14 C7. Remember BlueOx? Speculation from clues was a daily pastime for many of us actively posting ideas or just as lerkers. I among them. My one contribution was noticing an overlooked detail from a leaked C7 engine bay photo which upon the reveal proved to be true. Sometimes the smallest of details discovered make out to be a big deal in the overall design. Made my day!
And with my above post allow me to make a prediction that the same C7 front character lines we are familiar with running from the front facade, through the headlights then decreasing moving back along the doors leads me to predict(?) they will not be on the ME or a refresh(7.5?) of the C7. Been there, done that, lets move along. Probably, maybe(?), a clean slate from any Corvette Stingray Concept design now almost 10 years old. Below pic may be a clue, however subtle is noted.
As powerful that day, Tadge announced the date of the C7’s reveal, which we all remember was 1.13.13.
Will this pattern of the ME’s emblem being revealed roughly three months before the reveal be repeated? If so, and if the reveal is going to be at NAIAS on January 14thth, we have the Petit LeMans race on October 13th.
I'm a bit surprised (disappointed actually) that we didn't have another, more significant spy shot and/or leak on Corvette's Birthday of June 30th, and/or on our country's Independence Day of July 4th.
Hopefully now that we're into the summer season, there will be more opportunities for folks (especially those on summer break) to catch C8s in the wild.
It's like I'm a kid again right around Christmas time. I just want to see more presents, AND see them without the wrapping!!!
