I'm more impressed that OP still has his C5... that car was groundbreaking in the early C5 days!
Let be honest......Ill end up buying the C8 and head right to 1.3/4 headers and Cam to get it sounding like your C5....your C5 sounds perfect!!!!!!

Thanks, can't believe I've had the C5 for 20 years now!!!

On a side note, a buddy of mine just told me a funny story yesterday.

We were talking about cars, and I had not yet told him about the sightings. He owns a Gym that the C8s and I had ripped by just after we turned the corner once the rear 2 C8s showed up. He said 4 camouflaged lambos wipped by with an old looking trans am or something in the middle, he was very impressed!!

I then told him it was me, and the new Vettes, and asked him how they sounded. He said a bit of a wine, but more like a turbo then supercharger, but who knows...

Hope it's just the camera angle, but that rear end looks pretty "tall" in the air. Maybe it's added camouflage material.

Point well taken, though it could well be that the camo is hiding the spoiler (hopefully integral) within it — whose shape GM does not want us to see yet.

Only 325 days until the ME is buck naked. HOORAY!

I'm excited we have only 324 days to go!

This has been decades in the making..

As a teenager in the early seventies I remember all the magazine covers and magazine articles professing the virtues of rear mid engine corvettes...

For some reason it makes me smile every time we are discussing this rear mid engine corvette finally coming to reality in the showrooms and the streets...

We learned exactly where the turn signal is, that at least now, it is a single, straightforward LED.

And how great the OP’s car sounds.

For starters, there was a degree of luck involved, but much more had to do with a hot tip and a good hustle to intercept these guys...

Additionally, I had a good chat with the group once they pulled over, and they were pretty cool about things, not to say they were willing to give any info up, but there were certainly no hard feelings, and a number of them complimented my car, but thanks for your input...

Even with the foam blocks under the rear-end camo, it does seem to be rather massive. We now know from the CAD drawings that the ME will have a "frunck" but maybe it will have a small "trunk" as well.

That's actually a high tech license plate cloaking device to prevent traffic cameras from reading a plate. Been in the works from Chevy for a while.

Why does anyone block out plates...?

Ever wonder why people selling a car block out their license plates....what's the point?

Cool chase video.
