Thank you, skank, for this list of technologies.
Maybe add "digital rear view mirror/camera".

Thanks, I already had that on the list but I just added it as on the top of the B pillar roof beam. Also, I included from Elegant and Corvettobrando (the Adaptive Aerodynamics or Active Aero as indicated in Patent Application and Zerv leaked CAD views of underside).

[QUOTE=skank;1596584894]How about we generate a numbered list of observed known and identifiable components, technologies, and obvious configurations that we can glean from these leaked CAD views.
Here's a start from some of my own thoughts and of other posts on the Code Name Zerv thread. I am crediting the forum member after their comment with their call name in parentheses. If anybody see's something wrong, please advise and we can adjust and/or add further info when we receive new information.

Thanks for updating this!!

Since Bose has developed the 34 speaker Panaray Sound System for the Cadillac CT6, you can be sure that Bose has been tapped to design a state of the art sound system for the mid engine Zora as a option. The Panaray is by far the best automotive sound system by Bose ever.

Advanced high-pressure die-cast aluminum casting's can be seen in Zerv's leaked CAD views looking like a ribbed honeycomb aluminum casting, which are located at all four wheel well locations and throughout the Mid Engine Zora structure. Normally this structural component would take multiple pieces to assemble, but with the new casting technology, it’s one single piece. These futuristic components lead to increased structural rigidity at critical stress points for the car. It also allows for unnecessary weight to stay off the car, embracing the weight reducing goal of the engineering team further. You can see these castings in the above Youtube on the Bose Panaray Sound System at the start of the video. This tech is going on the list.

34 speakers, eh?
It doesn't matter if a car has 34 or 134...if they're **** (aka, Bose), the only thing it will INCREASE is the price.

Did you read the Bose website links? It is getting good reviews. And that is probably what we will get in the car regardless of what people think. They are taking care of GM audio. We have up to 10 right now in the C7 so it will be interesting what the ME will get with this new Panaray system.

I'm generally the first one to bash Blowz (R) as well but I've heard the Panaray system in a CT6 and I was truly impressed. Amazing soundstage, outstanding dynamic range and headroom along with clarity. They charge a helluva lot of money for it but if you've got the cash? I'd spring for it.

I am of the opinion that having a great sound system in a car is a huge waste of money. Even if were a true audiophile system with great imaging and no distortion, it is still in a car with poor acoustics and lots of high volume noise (road, tires, engine, etc.....) It is a sports car, not an auditorium. Their is no way to control phasing as there many sources of sound coming from lots of speakers.

However, it's you money and if you want to spend it that way, more power to you.

I doubt we will even get the Panaray system as an option, for 34 speakers — even if it is “only” 20 in the ME, is going to weigh way more than acceptable to the Corvette team.

John, did you watch the video or read the Bose Press Release? I watched the video and noticed they are using tiny arrayed speaker configurations that can fit in very small spaces such as the A pillars, B pillars, and other tight locations. I would not be surprised if they are lighter in weight to Bose's traditional 9 or 10 speaker systems that is currently in the C7.

I did see the video (thank you) and the speakers are very small. I would love to have “the option” of a first class sound system. Though who wish can buy; those who track or otherwise do not want it, could skip.

We have been told by -vet, Fasttoys1 and others that with the ME, we will be getting many more options (a la the Porsche model), and I am not alone in applauding that.

Please, please GM, make one of the new options be a “front axle lift system.”

I just re-read this entire thread. Thank you skank for putting it all together, especially your constant updating the OP as new ideas are raised.

We have collectively come up with lots of ideas. Will be interesting which ones actually materialize on the 2020 entry one as standard equip, which ones are 2020 options, and which ones are held in reserve for the later versions.

Fed regs require AEB (automatic emergency braking) by 2022 models. GM is also committed back-up alarms, and considering how many expressed concern to Tadge about no BSP (blind spot protection) and his response was “were are listening but no room in the rear quarters of a C7”), I expect all three of these to be standard equipment on the 2020 ME.

If this car does not have at least an option for a magnificent sound system, it is a grand mistake. I understand the negatives such as weight, engine noise, etc. but the standard excuse is, well, standard here: not everyone goes to the track. I would like to have and would thoroughly enjoy a superior sound system.

Agree with you Itomn, just make is an option for all to choose or not choose.

My wife wife and I primarily “courageously carving curving country Corvette corners” and long distance road trip folks, and would happily spring for a true upscale sound system.

It's been said by many on this forum that options are where they believe GM is going with the ME. Fine with me. I have a big desire to enjoy the finest of their technology on the one I own.

Default Plasma Ignition.. TJI

Interesting new patent application from GM; wonder if this tech will be used in any of the C8 engines ... http://pdfaiw.uspto.gov/.aiw?PageNum...26RS%3DAN%2Fgm
