Why so?
Lemme help ya there: SW fans don't like sh!tty sequels.
Not surprising.
No way would they want to alienate The Faithful.
They retained the recognizable identity that is pure to the corvette. I suspect GM was very particular about not doing something that would be contrary to that.

Is there detention to the rear bumper or does it abruptly come to an end like the C6, and to a lesser extent, like the C7?
Is the rear spoiler tacked on (an add-on) or is it integrated to the rear design?
Thanks again.

Safety Car
Thanks C7Pimp!
...ok...maybe this will help pin things down a little.
These all have slightly different details and forms so maybe one is closer than another?
Not sure how much you are comfortable saying. Any help will be....helpful !
Thanks for the exciting conversation.
...by the way...looks like I need to find friends like yours!

Would you describe the idea of the hood vent, similar to any of these four? Not necessarily the size, but the general concept.

I am so sorry but I don't understand your pseudo-english...
My renders look up to what?
At least I tried to visualize it with very little info... what have you done but belittle everyone's efforts and suck the fun out of it? For shame...
Don't want to derail this interesting thread with responses to your inane drivel. Please continue C7pimp !

Le Mans Master
I think the C7 looks very exotic. The ME C8 will be even more so. To some people, the "problem" with the Corvette is how popular they are. Sometimes I'm wondering how the public would view the Ferrari/Lambo cars if there were MORE of them on the road (not realistic I know, due to the prices). The enthusiasm and desirability for the ME C8 will decrease if you can see them on every street corner.

I'll be sorely disappointed if the C8 looks like a cookie cutter European supercar. Corvette needs to retain it's own unique look.
Regarding the Gen6/LT7 label, I hope it's a simple evolutionary change like the LS series, because a huge engine design change is going to orphan a lot of work/research out there.
And for the record, I'm on record that the mid-engine sports car will not be badged as a Corvette.

He actually said:
Honestly, all 4 of these miss the mark. They basic concept of the look is there.
I see what they are trying to do with incorporating the look of the front bumper spy shot into a rendering. It just looks wrong. The inserts on either sides of the large openings are completely different.
#1 kind of has the right idea on the front, but the flow is all wrong. Too many lines
#2, damn that's hideous hahaha. ? Hopefully we get more details on what is so wrong since the basic shapes are the same as spy images...
#3 looks like a C6 had a baby with a Saleen S7. The headlights are WAY to big and not even close to the right shape. This image(an older one) does not have the "front view" lamps redone.
#4 The taillights are obviously way off, I just pointed out why in my op. However, the rear intakes (Yes, those are intakes to the airbox beleive) that are somewhat trapezoid, looks pretty close. however, the design feature below it sticks out and wraps around towards the front some like this:
"Way" off could be subjective? The basic outline should be close but note C7pimps detail of the angled/beveled sculpted surface
My renders are a work in progress. I have no ego in them. I am having a good time speculating and learning...from everyone but you!
I have always said that these renders may give an "idea" of the look and feel of the car, but that the actual car undoubtedly will be much more exciting and beautiful...as it should be! I have done may different versions with different features to try to discern the details and see what "could be under the tarp.
I want to know and learn more so we all... even you Shaka, can get a better idea of what we can look forward to.
I eagerly await more details.

I live in a pretty populated/affluent area and see about as many Ferrari's Lambos as I do Corvette's of all years. I see many more Porsche.

The C7 Z has been in production now for 3 years...in that time, I have seen probably less than 10 drive by me on the road. The same was true for the C6 Z cars. In fact, to this day, I have yet to see a C6 ZR1 on the road.
Again, I hardly ever see the base cars as well. I have been in the military since 2005, since that time, I have lived in 5 different states and two different countries...so it’s not as if I am not getting around.
So I ask again, where the hell are all these Z cars around every corner? 911s, yes. Corvettes, nope. At least that has been my experience.
Rant over.
