Curious. Why would you like this info?

You are correct that the rear quarter is not shaped like the C7. Past the door, it sweeps upward. Not quite so abruptly or rounded as shown here in your rendering pic.

It basically follows the shape of the tarp, but it begins lower where the top of the door is.

Yeah, .. well it looks fairly abrupt to me as can be seen where the cut lines show through the "Crazzy Wrap". I agree though, I need to flatten the curves in mine!

If the platform/program code is Y2xx, then that's a strong indicator that the front engine car is dead after C7.

If it's something else, like Z1xx, then my theory about there being two cars (mid-engine Z1xx and front engine Y2xx C8 later) still holds some water.

Maybe this view can help? Feel free to mark up this or any of the other (of my) renders if you think it can help.

Again, thanks for your efforts!

These are exciting times for us ME aficionados! What a fun thread! Thank you c7pimp and all those who have positively contributed to it.

Let’s also remember that many ME threads have been closed because we “got into it” with others, and instead our being “the bigger person” and ignoring those who are choosing to be negative.

Let’s all please be diplomatic enough so this thread stays open.

C7Pimp, you could share the photo privately with a single trusted forum member after swearing them to secrecy that they never share the photo. That member can then corroborate for you to hush the naysayers. Just a thought.

I find it interesting that certain posters are seemingly "bent" on having evidence and/or 100% accurate depictions of something that's still basically just a "dream".

In addition... the last time I checked, no one on here is being compensated or awarded for coming up with the "real deal"... the indisputable perfect render. So all the harsh judgement seems so petty and/or childish.

The bottom line is that this thread should really only be seen for what it is... nothing more than speculation, sharing/appreciating other's ideas and hopefully getting some entertainment value out of discussing what might be.

All the serious (self proclaimed expert) opinions are draining all the entertainment value out of the thread.

So please try not to get so worked-up over things... until the ME C8 drives up and "hits us in the face"... .

From one of the descriptions, he mentions that the door flows back and tucks in and under as it approaches the scoop. I had described this from the CAD image. It's in the render but hard to show properly. He said it squeezes in at the mid section (Coke-Bottle) so that the scoop opening is wider from the front ( I think he said)

This suggests the door tucks in and angles in at the bottom which reminds me a little of the GT door treatment...without the flying buttress of course...or at least not as big!

Anyone drive a GT? Hows the cockpit room?

Thanks for posting C7pimp and remember no good deed goes unpunished as evidenced by some of the snarky remarks.

By all accounts, it is loud, slow, and uncomfortable compared to the other options on the market.

Yes but how's the cockpit room.? I was asking about it because the description said that the doors tuck in and down as they go back and allow the scoop to flare out to the rear wheel well, so I was wondering how much room there was in the cockpit?

The ME may be wider overall then GT but was curious.

Have had my ME deposit in with Mike Furman@Criswell Chevrolet since Feb. 1, 2015. He has a good length ME list, and as always with Mike, 100% integrity for every one of his customers. Each one on his list is always time and date stamped.

The facts are he has no proof so all of the sudden he should be trusted that he's seen it? Keep drinking the koolaid out of your sippy cup little boy. He may have or may not have seen it as I already mentioned but it wasn't until he was called out on it that he stated he can't post up the pics because then it would give up the source, don't you think that would be info you would want in your very first post, not until you someone calls you out on it.
The VERY first thing I said was:

"Through a source which I obviously cannot mention..."

I said I can't mention the source, which also implies that I can't do anything that would compromise them either.

I would hope adults are discerning enough to figure it out.

But whatever, I don't mind the skepticism. There are a lot of BS'ers out there. I have much better things to do with my time than to troll people I don't even know over the internet about a car.
