We’ve seen that bogus render before. Ugly then; ugly now.

The collective “wisdom” of this Forum has gotten us far closer to the “truth.” Thank goodness.

I'm with you Snow. That scoop behind the doors is fugg ugly. If that's how the C8 is going to really look, then I guess I'll be buying a new, last year edition of the C7.

I'll put my own body on my C8 if it looks like anything I've seen.

I couldn't agree with you more. The list of technology that they are including will easily push the base price over the ZR1 and then with options it could top $200k.

ALL of the renderings I have seen of the ME look way too much like a C7.
Someone please tell me GM is smarter than that...

As you asked...

GM is way smarter than that!

We have the same design team (one person switched) than we did for the C7. As I have posted in another thread, when talking with Chief Corvette Exterior Designer Kirk Bennion at the BASH, he said in response for my commending him for the bold looks of the C7 and that I/we “hope for the next generation, whenever it arrives, to be “similarly bold.”

I sure have not seen any real pictures, but I have faith in the same design team hitting another grand slam with the ME.

Let us also not forget c7pimp’s comment that the ME is a c7 morphed with the Aston Martin DBC concept, and with the latter’s stance. Give us a car that looks 25% as good as the car below, and wow!

The more time has gone by the more I believe the ME is going to have 2 models but "flagship" and the first will start around 130K or so and option up from there, then eventually a higher version starting around 165k. At this point though, I still don't know what route they are going.

The minute I read "fiberglass leaf springs" I doubt the entire piece. The CAD pictures clearly show coil overs.

The problem with this Aston Martin concept is it's lack of intakes. I find it hard to believe that one can make a mid-engine car with NO intakes except for the front of the car.

Not another one. Spelling and grammar don't matter.

Spelling means absolutely nothing...I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg.

Grammar changes with time. It's rules are fluid. All that matters is that the message intended was understood by the reader. And it was, so that just makes you an a-hole.

" GM power mongers have acknowledged interest in offering a flat-plane crankshaft V-8 mimicking the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350’s but without the frightful shake. Don’t be the last on your block to sell your Ferrari stock! "

Not gonna happen.
(I wish I end up being wrong and this comes true)

BUT, if the concept is NOT actually able to be a real car, then let's not parade it out there say "Here, it should look like this". Let's just enjoy the "concept"
