C8 Rendition-What I think is under all the Camo
Here is my render of the mid engine Corvette based on all the information leaks on the corvette forum. I am not an artist but feel the C8 could look like this under all the camouflage. I worked my sketch from the spy shot image below so the proportions should be close. The engineer covering the car has shown us the air intake for the engine begins in the doors. There is a lot of camo covering the last 10 inches of the doors. It is difficult to imagine what could be under there. The rear bumper from the paint shop shows tail lights and air vents that wrap around the side of the car. The tail lights will be 3 dimensional like the C7. The front bumper from the paint shop has three large openings. I believe the front end will look similar to the C7 so that GM will have that brand recognition factor. Similar headlights and double edge fenders like the C7. I reserve the right to make changes as more information becomes available.

Yeah, not bad!
I think the front will look a little more different than the Stingray and the intakes will be more sculpted and elegant, but overall - yeah, the general shape has to be just about there.

I think the nose will be a little more exotic looking… Or maybe. Looking at the camo picture, there seems to be some sculpted area around the lights that's a little more exotic. Of course, very hard to tell at this point.
The side scoop is anyone's guess but I do think it will be a bit more sculpted as well.
Nice rendering.

I like it also. I do believe after we have waited for the ME for many decades, in the end it will look a little less C7’ish, more European exotic, more curvy by a small amount. But a very nice car.
Well done.

I think you are pretty close. Not sure about the side air intakes, but still fairly close. Good job...

I think that’s a nice job. however, I believe the side scoop will much better integrated and flowing into the body lines. Someone on here was playing w different lighting effects on the spy pics and I believe they were able to accurately outline the side sculpting.

Nice sketch. I've been waiting for someone (with more artistic talent than me) to trace the obvious lines of the ME as a render starting point. Would love to see someone take the sketch into Photoshop. Bet it would be very close to a production look.
Spy shots have shown ME mules with side scoops attached to the door and you can see the shapes under the camo coverings. The question is whether the door-attached side scoops are part of the deception (camo) or the real deal.
Seems to me that the door-attached scoops would be a nightmare trying to open your door in a parking lot.

I think the side scoops will be a little more of an angle than that. But otherwise it looks fantastic!

i think it's a great joke that the employees scurried around showing the fake scoops stuck on the doors with duct tape PRETENDING that they were real and wanted to cover them up when in fact they wanted everyone to see them and be deceived. c'mon gm, just reveal the real pictures since the cat is now out of the bag. we've seen the front and rear fascia, the front fenders, the wheels, the basic form and we know an approximation of the scoops. what's there left to hide? above all, thanks for not effing the design up with those crappy square scoops.
you probably should pay jalopnick a commission for revealing the c7 over a year before its release. there was such a pent up demand that it took you a couple of years to catch up with deliveries. why mess with a sales gimmick that works?
