C8 a REALLY small car?
Seen some recent video of various C8 mules driving around. Looks about the same size of a Pontiac Fierro or Toyota MR2. Could it really be that much smaller than recent generations of Corvette?

2. The nose isn’t shorter than normal
3. The recent videos showed them next to the next generation Silverado HD prototypes, which will be bigger than any truck in their class.

I saw the 2019 "standard" size Silverado at the Detroit show. They were huge. The HD version is going to be ridiculous.

A proper 2 seat spurts car needs to be as small as possible.
Certainly I have hopes that the C8 will be 'Cayman' small.
The new FS trucks are stupid big. GM needs to offer the 3.0 diesel/ 8 speed and all the other technology and options in the Canyon for us city dwellers. I have an 18 Canyon Denali diesel 4x4 that's my daily driver and it's a solid truck and averages over 25mpg mixed driving. But the 2.8 diesel is slow and the truck gets few of the features that the FS trucks have available.

Let us take a step back on some on one assumption that has led to the theory that the ME is a small car.
First, assumption, let’s get this out of the way, is correct that the ME appears small.
Now to an incorrect assumption, that those were typical and regular 1500, 2500 or 3500 sized Silverados. That assumption might well not be an accurate assumption for right now GM is testing 4500 and 5500 medium duty pickups, especially as for testing purposes (and later sale purposes) those medium duty chassis series can be built with a regular sized pickup body, or an oversized pickup body. Maybe in the Colorado ME in the wild video and pictures we have been seeing this part week, is a regular/typical Corvette sized ME in between some 4500 and/or 5500 hundred series medium duty trucks undergoing their “IVER mule” regular testing???

I would not expect too much variance in actual wheel base from the current model. If anything, it may grow but not by much.
It looks like the cockpit structure is about the same, just moved forward.
A lot will depend on how they want to design the cargo space, and what other tech may be involved. If they go with some type of hybrid tech, or AWD, at launch or planning some time in the future.

Assuming that GM does not have a couple of midget engineers testing the mid engine car, just comparing the size of the mid engine car to the size of the two engineers in this photo, shows that the car is anything but small.

I have the Colorado sister to your truck. Also a daily driver (50,000 miles in just 2.5 years). Great truck; very maneuverable, but not too small (about the same size that full size trucks used to be), and as you said, great on gas. I have the 305 hp V6, gas powered and she has plenty of pep for me...

Did you have this generation Colorado (2015 to present), or the previous generation (completely different truck)? I have had zero problems with my 2015....

At 6’4” the Vette is one of the few sports cars I can comfortably fit in...so I hope not.

Ha ha, my chiropractor would disagree! I have the top down 80% of the time, and that helps A LOT getting in and out.
In general, I do fine getting in an out, but I'm at the upper end of the spectrum for sure. I think if I was an inch or two taller, it would be a no go. My Dad is 6'-6" and he looks ridiculous in it.
Fingers crossed, that the General didn't decide to go after the Euro market full steam ahead, and pursue ergonomics of our smaller statured counterparts across the pond.

Considering there won't be a firewall to worry about ahead of the wheel well I'm hoping it doesn't get any smaller than the C7, but I guess we'll find out in a year. Maybe we should add an "Ask Tadge" question trying to find out what size of a driver they design a Corvette to accommodate.

Tadge has said that GM has a standard for all their vehicles and that is that they design their vehicles to fit 95% of the population. As to what that means for height, for weight, for height and weight combined, I highly doubt they would tell us.

C5Z06 = fit with and without helmet
C6Z06 = fit without helmet. With helmet is really a squeeze.
C7 = no fit at all. Shins rub underside of dash concurrent with head
rubbing inside liner of roof.
C8........still hopeful.
