We just have similar styles. Though the C8 will have conventional doors, I was planning on bringing them to a shop and fabricating custom lambo doors. Make it a true mid engine “look”. Might give some traditionalist a heart attack though and others thinking “what Lamborghini is that?!”

The "baby" Lambos don't. The big money cars do. It's like Lambo likes to tease it's customers into the more expensive cars however they can.
Not needed on a Corvette though. Just unneeded weight.
I think a lot of it has to do width. The wider high buck cars need verticle style doors to fit in parking spots. Where as normal wide cars you can still squeeze it.

I'm more convinced they just wanted their V12 offerings to be more unique from the factory. Interesting enough, vertical door conversions are extremely popular mods on the Gallardo and Huracan.
