Should GM give a high quality optional leather luggage set for the ME Zora
Most high end mid engined cars have a fitted luggage option to optimize the typically smaller frunk storage cavity. Some are soft flexible luggage and some are hard surface luggage. Then there are real high end leather luggage sets that are works of leather art. Chime in on what type of quality you would be interested in. The current C7 luggage set is a Medium-high quality soft set.

I would like that, but doubt at its super low MSRP, that we would be getting the luggage gratis. But strongly believe we will be getting the option to buy such a set.
Maybe even two option boxes, one in C7-like material, and another set in leather (which one we would buy would be dependent on price, for we have seen Ferrari real leather sets go for mega thousands).
In our ME order, we will have checked off a “custom fitted luggage” option box.

Tumi or Briggs & Riley make a higher quality soft set that is of better quality than the current C7 optional set. I have a set of Schedoni that sits in my closet unable to use them on a airline because of their sloppy and inept handling at the airports.

Leather luggage would be nice, but I kind of view that stuff as geared more for the Pebble Beach, wine and cheese crowd. I'm fine stuffing a duffle back and a cooler in the car. It's the car that really matters.

I think a good nylon/sythetic set of bags specifically designed to really max space usage would be a very good thing and not exorbitant. I don't know how many pieces it would be--maybe 3-5?

I must admit, however, that to take a Corvette and go ME likely reduces the station wagon amount of storage we have been used to for several generations down to a compact amount. For some, that will be an adjustment, but one we will know going into the purchase. A configured storage option would be sensible. Perhaps luggage as an option, but a cam-lock or zipper removable storage container is a perfect base option.

Thank you for keeping it real. I warily entered this thread after reading the title, fearful of what I may find.

I firmly believe that good business on GM's part will include an option for specific pattered luggage to go in the ME. This is not about the car, it's about the experience! Any added experience that GM can offer in the Corvette ME would be good for business and good for the experience of those that chose it.

I would suggest two or three quality levels of fitted luggage.
I’m sure the suppliers would be lining up to offer fitted luggage to be sold through Chevy dealers
I wouldn’t bother buying it.
Just not my thing but I believe many would order it.

Very clever thinking in this thread. I would love the option of that set having one hard sided bag for our few good clothes we would not want to wrinkle. For jeans, causal shirts and the rest, soft sided bags would be great for the remaining of the luggage set. All custom fitted of course.

Bingo.
Top end: Leather suitcases built from same leather as the interior leather with logos and embossment; $2000
Mid range: Leather suitcases with 3 color options, logos; $1000
Low end: Fabric suitcases of Samsonite quality; $300-$400

Your pricing is far cheaper than what comparable items in the marketplace sell for - top quality leather luggage is $800-1,200 per piece, mid range leather is in the $350-750 per piece range, and good quality soft side luggage (Tumi, TravelPro) are in the $150-200 per piece price range.
Of course, if the C8 has as much luggage space as an Acura NSX (4.4 cu ft), a modest sized duffel bag and briefcase (about all that fits in an NSX) could be had for your price ranges, and a 1.1 cu. ft bag that fits into the trunk of the Ford GT shouldn't be more than a few hundred dollars for even a high end leather product.

GM can set the prices where it sees fit.

Give......no.
Option.....perhaps.
High quality? Not a leather set that costs $10K like a Ferarri or Lambo option.
But with a mid engine, some custom shapes could be desirable.
C7 luggage option seems like good guidance to answer this question.
