Take a look at earlier views of the front, do you not see those round lights or the shape of them? This car is going to have them, think we just got a very good look at the front design....

The camo test cars don't sport the production lamps. They're thrown together units to make traveling public roads legal.

A retired and previously camo'd C7..

get with the times already GM...all other major manufacturers are testing without all the cladding on their cars set for debut soon. Take all that crap off and start some real testing!

That parade of new cars driving past the camera shows how hideous and boring car designs have become. And how Jaguar needs to hire a better driver.

I can't believe no one is talking about this thing being a hybrid yet. Look at the rear brake system below. That is the common setup for a braking energy recovery system. On the rear system alone, the front (large) caliper is the normal brake, and the rear (smaller, at the 9 o'clock) caliper looking system looks like those normal used on the rear brakes of many hybrid/electric cars. This thing is gonna fly with hybrid support.

Quick, delete this post before anybody else sees it. That's the handbrake. They are not allowed to be hydraulic.

Nobody is talking about it, because you're wrong. That's a parking brake.

That is indeed the parking brake

720S:

Viper ACR:

Regenerative braking usually isn't really taken from the heat of the brake rotors, rather the electric motor turns into a generator which has a braking effect on the wheels in low demand situations.

May mean a very narrow/ sleek looking rear window/buttress.

I cant help but notice how narrow those front tires appear to be. 235 maybe? I am running 295's on the front of my C6 Supervette and could not imagine panic stopping at 140mph with anything less. I hope the C8 will not be a disappointment and it looks like one will have to wait for the C8 ZR1 for a real performer.

With the exception of the big Lambo, almost all ME’s regardless of price even to just under $500,000 K, and with up to 710 HP, are running 245 fronts and typically 295 rears (some 285’s/a few 305’s).

Koenigsegg Agera RS is running 265 and 345... I guess I would just have to find a widebody kit for the Zora and put some big rubber under her. I dont have a problem with the car tracking on bad roads, I just stay awake.

OMG, just the thought of having the LaFerrari-esque steering wheel is awesome!

Regenerative brakes from a tesla

That has nothing to do with regenative braking. Many cars have the brake caliper and a separate parking brake caliper. Do some research, the reason Tesla went to AWD is so they can do regenative braking at both ends of the car more for range, the offset is greater performance. The regenative braking is done with the electric motors.

after the horrible camaro refresh, the design team at Chevy has me worried. Those people thought the 2019 camaro looks good...lets hope that someone is left with Ed Welburns talents.

The head of the Camaro design team is John Mack. He has nothing to do with the Corvette ME’s design team.

The design team that developed the C7 is the same design team that is developing the ME (exception being that Michael Simcoe replaced the retiring Ed Welburn).

Hwasup Lee, Kirk Bennion, Tom Peters are the rest of the exterior design team. The C7’s Chief Interior Designer, Ryan Vaughan, is back at it designing the ME’s interior.

The chosen initial sketch for the C7 was done in 2010 by Hwasup Lee (below). He also did major work on the C7 ZR1.

Not worried in the slightest.

Going one step more, we know from the pictures of the IVERS mules, that one of the elements that was left off from Hwasup’s 2010 sketch in the final C7, but is going to be part of the ME, is the the larger , almost triangular, flat rear deck horizontal “corners.”

Of course that mean less rear glass (less weight), and perhaps why we have seen in a few of the spy pics, the rear camera mounted on the halo bar.
