I wouldn't go that far on the c6 that we both own but the c8 should be quite different as the corvette continues to evolve in to its latest iteration..

I believe the c8 rear mid engine will motivate a lot of corvette owners into opening up their wallets again...

And that's what new model iterations are about...

Getting brand enthusiasts and those new to the brand to consider spending their hard earned money on the latest and greatest ...

Default Things to worry about

Possible, I suppose. But my biggest worry is that GM is going to default to the conservative--as they have so many times in the past--and produce a design that can't stand up to its peers for boldness and originality.

For example, headlight and taillight shapes and the like are way down at the bottom of my list of fears.

I really wasn't anticipating buying a C8, but a ME American car sure sounds enticing. Hoping it looks something like the Euro exotics and not as out of proportion as the mule looks under camo.

However, If it comes w/ the A8, I'm out.

We have heard two options for the ME’s trans, a DCT and the A10. Not seen anyone suggesting the A8.

Many are wishing for a clutched-manual also — but more wishing than real inside knowledge.

I don't know of a ME exotic that offers a 3rd pedal.
Most exotics are concerned with speed and comfort.
A manual clutch offers neither...

They cant be front fenders. The area in front (to the right) of the wheel well is too wide and short.

From what I can see in that blurry photons that would have to be the left front fender. Look at the top where it would meet the windshield and A piller.

Like everything else on this tread that just a best guess. Mainly due to the top of the part looks like it would meet the windshield and piller. If it a fender it has to be the left.

if it a 1/4 it had to be Rt rear but I doubt the 1/4 would be that shape at the top where it would meet the B piller or deck area?

I think it is the right rear, and the extension is at the pillar behind the door.

The renderings don't even approach the feeling I felt when I saw my fraternity brother's new '63 roadster when he picked it up in KC or the feeling I felt seeing our secretary's hubby pick her up in his new '68 T-top. Will hold judgement 'til I see the real thing up close and personal.

One thing I do like is that it appears they moved the mirrors farther forward and the spindly
stalks are lookin' like a Testarossa (sorta). The only complaint I have concerning the C7 is
the mirror position. Too much head turning required to get a good picture of what's going on behind you. I'd bet none of this is correct in the rendering, but improved side mirrors would be nice. I know, I know, who cares what's behind you! Just mash and keep it WAY behind you. And I do.

C7Pimp has seen the car; it is the left front fender.

Thank you for bringing this up - kudos to the forum family uploading the article image posts, but the verbiage is a total turnoff. I don't mind the occasional joke, but that dry humor and "douchey, smartest guy in the room" dialect is everywhere. Reminds me of that Tesla guy, Elon Musk.

That is not realistic. You will get closer on the 90k z06 versions.
