Default What happened to all the sightings?

Did GM quit taking the cars out and showing them off?

This woulda been fun to watch! Especially with every new base level trying to match performance of the previous generation’s Z06.

I saw the group of camo'd Chevy trucks up in Summit county the other day, but there was no following of the ME's anymore. They had been spotted up in that area many times together, but it appears the ME's aren't part of the group anymore. I pulled over and waited for several minutes...hoping...

Often, when this thread subject comes up, we get another sighting shortly afterwards. Hope we do soon! And better yet, how about if the ME camo starts to get sparser for the next sighting?

We are actually looking for buck-naked, but we will take anything at this time.

GM goons tracked down the witnesses.

And then. . . . . . . . .

It's time for GM to throw us a bone (again).
We haven't had anything new in quite awhile....

Don’t worry, they’re gonna have to conduct some testing with the targa tips off and/or convertible tops downs. Summer is the time to do it.

I view this whole thing with quasi disguised appearances as mini announcements by Chev. They will expose it more and more as it fits their PR.
I really doubt that they have to drive it around in traffic to do testing. They have vast facilities and options to test and really disguise it if they want.

Let we forget that Milford Proving Grounds has 140 miles of test track where the ME’s can test on a daily basis. Guessing between that and GM’s Yuma, AZ facility, they are out testing multiples of ME’s at least five days every week.

The Yuma faculty, located on military grounds, is a no fly zone (no drone issues). It has 40 miles of roads to test the ME on.

Not all testing can be done behind closed doors, hidden from view.

Years back, when I would vacation in Colorado, I would visit GM's test facility in Manitou Springs(base of Pike's Peak) where they did brake testing. GM's site was located near downtown and was surrounded by a chain link fence. It had a drive on scale and a metal building to store the test equipment and store the sand bags.

GM would take the camo'd cars and pickup trucks out of the fenced compound and drive them on Pike's Peak, etc. in full view of everyone.

The Manitou Springs facility is now long gone, so I don't know where they do their brake testing now.

Some of those camo shots of the rear leave almost nothing to the imagination.
As an example, it's pretty clear that the tail lights will be rectangular, looking more like Camero tail lights than the C7 rear does.
The old, round tail light crowd will NOT be happy

I came across this short video posted yesterday on YouTube. Shows a Mid Engine with a Porsche Carerra S behind it at a stop light/stop sign:

Noooooooo!! Those new Camaro tail lights are an atrocity designed by a high schooler!
I like roundish tail lights on a Vette although the C7 came out awesome! So crossing my fingers
