No, no! Did they really ditch the C7 separate amber rear turn signal lights and go back to the ultra cheap and less safe single 'blinking brake light' version?

Good move to cut off the video just as we might hear an exhaust note.

We don’t know the tail lights yet. It’s possible the other 2 are solely brake lights. (Corvettes always have 4 tail lights)

Those are basically LED trailer lights stuck in the spot the actual taillight assemblies will be.
They did the same thing with the C7 camo'd test cars.

Another video proving getting a decent recording of what these things sound like is technically impossible!

Has me thinking it is going to have a bit of a "boot"...i.e. NSX, 308GT, etc. Same reason the C5 had the booty behind the rear tire. Definitely seems like a visually "heavy" back end on the car for a reason.

I really hope they aren't going back to the red turn signals. I have cars with both amber and red, and amber is noticed by far more drivers than the red ones.

The transmission is located behind the differential, as is the engine's air breather, so that requires space that wasn't necessary(except for the mufflers) in the C5/C6/C7.

C5 had the so called 'booty' behind the rear tire, as it was originally designed to have non run flat tires, and there had to be some space behind the different(transmission was in front of the differential) for the space saver tire that the C5 was originally designed to carry.

With the mid engine, that space where the space saver spare tire was to be stored on the C5, is now being used by the transmission and the engine's air breather.

Where the C6 and C7 only had to have the mufflers behind the rear tire, the mid-engine has to have the transmission, the air breather and the muffler. Where the transmission was in the C5, C6 and C7, that space is now occupied by the engine in the mid-engine Corvette.

Thank you NewYuriCity. Also nice to see clearer, most-recent pictures.

Guess this addresses our recent thread, i.e., what happpened to all the sightings. This should keep us happy for, maybe, perhaps, a day or two...

Nice image to show the folding hardtop seams.

I wonder why the cover needs to be cut back at the B pillar? It's not an air inlet from what I can tell in the other pics.

Even if the sound transfer would be bad at least we could hear something.

Looks like air under the camo tarp to me. If you scroll through the pics you can see some show air pressure ballooning it a bit, and then, at apparently slower speeds, the other pics show it laying flat.
