Newest “in the wild” spy shots!
https://www.autoblog.com/2018/05/16/...#slide-7333430
Here is the link, let’s discuss?
-Flat top steering wheel
-Bustress
-Active aero?
-Sexiness?
I also noticed the headlights seem more “production” style then the previous spy shots.
I truely hope they start taking off more Camo because we have been seeing the same thing and basically dissected the best we can with what we have. I don’t know why the article mentions “might be pushed to 2020”, that would suck!
cheers

There is also a few side images, right side, that seem to show the side scoop in the door being sucked in and a rear tilted anglee ridge toward the front of the door that may be an air exit from the front wheel wells.
I know many other cars have similar features and I have suggested this in the past but this is the first view of the door being sucked in deeper than the black tarp. Could just be padding but maybe?

In the later pictures of that autoblog gallery, there’s the same semi-circle shape on the rear deck where an active spoiler would reside on something like a 650S. In the first few images, the top of the raised rear cover appears to have a similar curve to the aforementioned semi-circle piece. This could easily be a coincidence, and it’s the only instance where something like this has been seen.

2nd bumper option
And as I stated before this bumper was the one that was different than the BG factory spy picture!

It’s obvious that the rear deck is vented in some of these shots, as stated by GM Authority

What we now know is that every render showing the car as a "fastback" (Ferrari 458/488 for example) is wrong. Look at pictures 7/8/10/26 among others. The engine cowl is obviously flat and the car has buttresses. I was going to guess that maybe it is a convertible but the B pillar is too pronounced for that.
EDIT: After Bikerjulio posted the top function on the 458 Spyder....maybe it is a convertible

The sill design is now clear, and appears to be a match to the CADs. Also, if it wasn’t already confirmed, the leading edge of the side scoops are certainly part of the doors.

this could just be padding but "could" be a front wheel-well air channel...
Note the "deep" sucked in area in the door. First time seeing this too!

Yes, it could. It would perfectly echo the spy pic’s camo. Well done. However, while it is possible, it is lacking, IMO, in style points. It chops up the side, and if I might, makes it look a lot less “elegant.”
Here is your earlier rendering without that front wheel air channel. Much more visually attractive to me.

^^ I agree, just trying to show the door difference and depth that the tarp covers. The actual opening would be much more refined if it is there at all.
Interesting...

Today’s picture reinforces what you suggested a few weeks ago FVS, that the fender intake duct could be vertically split, as follows:
I am seeing the top of the “zebra-camo’d triangle” as a dividing line in a vertically-split intake duct (which is present on some other ME’s), with two different chambers providing air for different functions. That picture is at the bottom of this post.
Here are some options for air use with that split intake duct:
*the lower one to a heat exchanger — such as an intercooler air inlet;
*the upper one being for engine air intake;
* the upper one being part of a system Ferrari calls a “base air bleed aero system to reduce drag” (with that air exiting the car in the vents just below the taillights — just as we have seen air ducts below the ME’s taillights.
All picture shown below come from this Ferrari 488 GTB Aero video:
And if one chamber is venting directly to the rear of the car, we have seen “air exiting ducts” on the Corvette ME’s taillights which would be that air’s exhaust point.

GM is messing with us. Obvious they keep removing coverings little by little. Last spy shots had tons of padding and rear looked clunky. These proportions are SEEEXXXYYY
Also noticed 4 giant distinct ducts. And side scoop looks like a straight horizontal line within where the door would be. All the renderings have been off!
