One can hope that it sounds as good as one of the older naturally aspirated F1 engines. It can't Rev to 18,000 RPMs, and It won't have a flat plane crank.

One can hope it sounds better than the turbo-hybrid-V6s currently running in F1. These things sound bad, just plain bad.

It will not sound like the FE cars as there is not enough room to have a full length exhaust (after the header and before muffler) so it will sound different. Let us hope GM has their ears in tune when working no this.

9k or even 8k RPM would be great.

I was at the Circuit of the Americas about 5 years ago for an F1 race.
It was the last year of the NA V8.
What a snarling beast it was...GREAT sound!
Every time one would go past, it would give me goose-bumps.
