It also lends credence to the theory that this is a Spyder. The vinyl cover collapses over the back window when the driver applies the brakes. The cavity fills with air by the time he shifts for the second time. It becomes a little obvious on the 3rd run.

I was watching the fabric covering the back window. In all three runs it behaved the same way.

As the car comes to rest, the fabric is resting on a flat surface between the two buttresses. (c pillars)

As the car accelerates, the fabric inflates with the slip stream.

So, these cars either have a rear window like the C7 or there's a hard piece of body camo fixed to the body underneath the fabric camo.

You can't tell from that. Weight transfer is from the COG being above ground. Doesn't matter what drive wheels are used.

I read that as simply a taught vinyl cover. Not one sitting on top of a window. It may also have some solid membrane to eliminate it completely exposing the cavity below the area.

except that I still consider these launches ("glimpses" we haven't seen/heard yet) very interesting/exciting versus mundane.

These mild launches may depict a more "normal" acceleration condition versus (as you stated) an all out 0 to 60 (red line) testing.

Nonetheless, exciting to see/hear more!

My initial calculations are an abysmal 0-60 - 5.8- 6.2 sec!

I know theses are not full on speed tests...right...

To be competitive, the car would need to be at 60mph by the time it crossed the yellow sign...more or less.
FVS, how'd you get that calculation? If the 0.1, 0.2, etc. markers are indeed mile markers (which I think they are) then the yellow sign after the 0.1 sign would be the 1/8th mile marker (which it appears it is as it reads 0.125, see below screenshot). From timing it on my phone it appears to be making 1/8th mile passes in the ~6.5-7s range, which is extremely fast. Anyone with better timing equipment/video software can time how this bad boy is accelerating?

Edit:

Is the car AWD, those front wheels seem to be spiining pretty fast

I like the “stance” of the car, it’s front down, rear up rake. This was taken after it had come to a stop, was totally settled at rest.

What's the point of changing lanes during acceleration testing?

I'm still thinking they may be testing "normal" scenarios (I.e. everyday driver getting onto an interstate... having to signal and change lanes under acceleration).

That or the driver is just overly courteous (signaling to change lanes)!

Ha...Sorry for the confusion...I was referring to the first yellow sign saying "Stops allowed Right and Center lanes" ! Only about 120 feet from start I am guessing.

...at least he is signaling! Don't want to ticked for no signal change when you are racing!

First run. 6.3 sec to 1/10 mile marker. So I guess it's close to your 1/8 mile estimate of 6.6sec av.
of course only rough due to perspective etc.

No worries dude I was curious where you got your 0-60 calculation from, because based on the mile markers he's flying. we can't really tell fully because it cuts out before he hits the 1/4 mile marker but based on 6.5-7s 1/8th mile times that should be less than 11s in the 1/4 mile! For reference, a ZR1 that did a 10.1 1/4 mile pass did the 1/8th in 6.53s
