On self driving cars (partial self driving) a lane change is automatic if you signal a lane change on stripped lane markers.
Also if you change lanes (stripped lanes) with out signaling the electronics figure you are wandering and steers back or warns you.
if you drift over a solid line it brakes you back into your lane. (one side braking) On MB anyway
Part of the testing going on here!
I sure hope not, I’ve heard some real nightmare stories of BMW drivers having problems with these driver aids during track days. Maybe it’s just some GM policy for their testing grounds (wishful thinking) but if it does have these driver aids, hopefully they can at least be fully defeated in sport /track mode or something.

see my post #46 Thanks (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery).

"lane assist" is the most annoying and potentially dangerous feature ever. On the other forum I inhabit I'd say 95% have it turned off. It can be fooled by tar strips or confusing lane markings.

See the Tesla that drove head on into a concrete divider.

It demands signals even on a deserted road. It tugs at the wheel in a way that reminds me of an interfering wife.

You are right are right on the money.
So that brings up the topic..What self driving aids should be built into a modern sports car model to last to 2030 or so..
Auto braking too?
Demographics in play here.

a comparison drag race video to just show the Turbo S moving away fro the camera so we can compare the relative sense of speed and perspective.

No not all. To me it has a UPS truck sound, and if we didn’t know it was a corvette nobody would think it sounds good. Probably testing and tuning in this video.

I like American music...besides,when I think about 25000$ or more ,that I’ll be saving versus the competition...I like it even more.

I really believe they have created a mid engine car that’s very unique,no mid engine car sounds like that, and that short sweet low end torque is music to my ears.I could play that videos 20 times a day.

Besides ,the information leaks reveal that there are higher reving engines down the pipeline.
There should be something for everyone.

I'm not sure how you can conclude that from this short video. Though this particular car doesn't sound very good in my opinion.

I agree with this. If it's a V8 then it's a very small one (IMO).

All things being equal, a smaller NA or Supercharged V8 will make a slightly higher pitch (see the Mustang's V8s).
FWIW, it sounds like a small turbo to me.

I think the pitch difference is more related to the RPM than the engine size and smaller engines need more RPM so indirectly you're right. I would say turbo before supercharged because a turbo interferes with the exhaust to give a more wimpy sound. It's for sure that the ZR1's supercharger is not interfering with it's exhaust sound

Thanks for posting,
Your video has the engine turning at about 2000 turns and the other(acceleration run video)has it closer to 4000 turns(that’s a small block V8 by the way..)

Your video ,in our world of basterized/enhanced engine sounds...
makes anything possible.

Holy Cats !! I knew I liked C2's, but man that one can flat-out FLY ! I'm getting the itch to sneak one into Uncle Bob's Storage so my wife won't find out about it. (She thinks one Corvette is one too many.)

For sure it is all wheel drive since the front and rear wheel slip can be seen!
