Well, if track means public street. . . . LOL.
I wonder if that would work with the Constabulary. "Gee officer, I was just doing some on-track shakedown work. . . . "

It's part of one of GM's private test tracks, notice the signs such as "STOPS ALLOWED RIGHT & CENTER LANE"

Ah - that makes much more sense.

never paid attention till you just posted that... but it does seem to lift like an AWD on the first lower power run..and if my eyes aren't playing tricks.. seems to spin as you say in the front... crazy...

Physics don't allow a car to "lift" any differently regardless of what drive wheels are used.

ok...gotcha... prolly didn't use the right terminology... but you know how a rear drive car that hooks weight transfers to the rear...and there is considerable rise of the nose...increasing the wheel gap, and eventually if enough hook and power.. pull the wheels off the ground... and awd cars seem to just raise a bit at the front... minimal spin...and hook and go...

If you look at the change in technology we have seen in the last 10 years and the C8 is to remain relevant and competitive for the next 10 or so. They have to allow for electrification which will mean AWD hybrid. Not to mention self driving aids/ safety aids. Maybe not all with the first year but later. Think of this, a C8 with a wee little 4 banger and a BIG battery. Just plug me in and turn me on!
