Also, I tend to agree that the open hatch looks to be that of a C7 like CRABBYJ said.

Exactly. When I saw the first photos released, I was like, "Well that looks cool and different but I dunno if I like it." Then saw one at a show right next to a 488 GTB Ferrari and honestly both of those cars are absolutely stunning. I had to stare a the 720s for probably about 15 minutes to take it all in and that longer rear end looks very very good up close, gives it a more hypercar-esque stance. It was a deep ruby red paint and my mother (she's a car nut too) and I were drooling over it. I preferred the proportions of the 720S to the 488 GTB, but I overall like the look of the 488 GTB better, but very hard to choose.
The C8 spy shots all indicate a somewhat longer rear, but it's not bulky by any means. There is a lot of padding/false paneling under that black tarp on the rear hips and the rear fascia/taillight shrouds.

I am glad to hear that there is false padding/ Camo on the rear end, I sorta assumed there would be!
So am I the only one that is going to say it?!
We DESPERATELY miss you C7Pimp!!!

No, I have not. However, I note that part of the front of the c8 is blocked in this photo, which makes it seem a little more unbalanced. I imagine that we are all going to have to get used to new proportions. The common attribute of American rear drive muscle cars since the 60's has been the long hood and short area behind the cockpit, so that is a long history to overcome for us American sports car fans. If your sketch is close to reality, it should be beautiful, though. It will just take some getting used to.

I’m no mechanic but I think she needs new shocks... or tie rods.

Burning Brakes
On a (somewhat) more serious note, the burka is missing on the upper aft hatch area on the car next to the Duck Dynasty guy - see this close-up. I think it is clear from this shot that it has a glass hatch in the back - like a Ferrari 458, (vs.a Ferrari 246 Dino). One more mystery solved.
Notice the light reflecting surface on the back hatch that is uncovered. hHas to be a hatch window
