Could this be ...???
Just saw this on a Facebook post and was wondering if anyone has seen this picture before. Don’t know if it’s been Photoshopped or just a custom build but it does look pretty intriguing! Seems like at least the exhaust tips are in the right spot. The taillights are sure different as well.
Anyone got a clue where this might have come from? Looked like the picture had a “Car Lifestyle” watermark. What’s your take on this?

This rear end is actually very attractive imo and much nicer than the current c7's rear end. GM should copy this if they plan on keeping the C7 around for a few more years and do a refreshed C7. But for a C8, I doubt it.

i expected someone to come up with an aftermarket rear bumper cover for the c7 to give an option, but with the zora on the road now, it's moot. i still love 2/3 of the c7 design.

Instead of being the *** end of the mid engine car, maybe it's the *** end of the next generation front engine car(built on the C7 chassis, etc., but with a DCT transmission(shared with the mid engine car, and the outboard tips being the giveaway that it has a DCT) that would be 75%-80% of it's parts being interchangeable with the C7. Other than the new DCT transmission, it would have new body panels bolted onto a C7, and be called a C8.

i agree that it is much nicer than stock. it amazes me how reluctant car manufacturers are to improve their designs. porsche had a decent design on the 928 but put a totally butt ugly hatchback on it and it never sold well. their intransigence eventually caused the whole car to die off.

Even if it is a photoshop creation, I like it better than what we have seen so far.

Does anyone have the full view pic of this?

While it may be only a mock up, I think those tail lights are a bit small but it is at least a few years (couple?) off in the future for the next gen. As to the look, I'm also a bit surprised there've been no aftermarket offerings similar to above.

As C7pimp earlier noted, the ME’s taillights are a filled in design, and while appearing as two lights on each side, are made of a single unit. This picture of the 2019 Camaro taillights, while clearly not for the ME (nor anything like them), shows that “dual lights, but made of one filled in unit” characteristics. And of course making one single unit instead of two distinct lights will cost less, and will take less time and be less complex to install. Because it will be a one piece filled in unit, it will create less air drag. Lastly, since it will not be recessed as deeply as the C7’s, will be easier to keep clean) for we all know the PIA of keeping the rear of the C7’s clean.
