Who can forget this pic posted on CF. Double parking space use would be careful in the extreme although I expect anxiety with an ME could increase this parking tactic. And an obvious increase in respose by (fill in the blank)..............

I know a C6, but for an ME, probably worse.

When you decide to park like that you're just asking for it.

I think there as been a lot of width added to the doors of the C8 in this discussion. Given the various mid-engine vehicles out there today, it is really easy to see that air management of some sort will begin in the door and lead into the rear quarter. I don't see any reason why the C8 ME would be any wider than any current Corvette due to this style of air routing. The rear suspension and tires will be more responsible for the width of the C8 ME that the cooling air.

The air coming down the side of the car and into the inlet in the quarter panel area is most likely for cooling. The intake air is probably going to come from near the rear facia, top area of the rear bonnet.

You can imagine the door latch overhang in this view as well.

If they are going to sale this starting at around $60k I’ll take 2 or 3 of them!

Interesting comparison of a C7 head to toe with FVS’s awsume ME. My big assumption is using the same wheel base and overall height for both to line them up.

Time to stop modding the C7 and put that money in a C8 fund... that is amazing looking.

Exactly. I stopped all mods on my C7 Z06 two years ago, been tightly disciplining myself to building my ME fund.

C7 never did, and still doesn't, appeal to me, so beat you both. Never bought one. C7 fund carried on to C8 fund. Can't buy first year car, though. Just don't trust most manufacturers to get it right.

I had 4 C5s, never loved the C6, C6 GS caught my attention (removable roof and JSB paint!), but by then the C7 was coming out. Love the C7 design, my gripes are with some of the production methods and body/paint quality vs. the C5/6, but performance and amenities wise the car is very nice.

I’ve been in the same mode with mods on my ‘14 C7 3LT for about as long. But yesterday, reading a C7 General thread about sun damage to 3LT dashes, I causously took a trip to the garage to survey mine. Luckily, no damage or bubbles.....so far. So to Walmart’s I went and bought a 2 piece Twist Sun Shade that each piece fold together in a 12” circle for storage. Each unfold to 28.5” x 31.5” thus easily fit my C7 adjusted to overlap a couple inches. Cost, ~$8.00. I will be parking inside Corvettes at Carlisle soon with 110 mile ride each way. My ME fund is on target, even with this setback factored in.

Is anybody else seeing the Aria or is it just me?
Especially the shape of the side door, rear fender and side inlet scoop.

Wouldn't be a bad direction for GM and, possibly, the starting point for the C8 exercise. Think the front facia and headlights would be different, though.
