It is inherent that ME cars have a similar shape. Get over it. If it has cross flags on it, I'm in.

It's more than just the shape. It's the specific styling choices that immediately make me think of cars that are not Corvettes.

It's fine if this is some extension to the Corvette brand. A halo car to sit above the front engine models in the space currently occupied by the Z06 and ZR1. But as it sits, I don't see any continuity with the previous 65 years worth of history.

Since this car first leaked, I've held the opinion that this is not the C8. It may have a Corvette brand, but it's not the successor to the front engine car. It's something entirely new.
