Some other dealers similarly did the honorable thing.

Since at least 25,000 ME’s are going to be made for the 2020 model year — and maybe thousands and thousands more than that, so check the facts, the history for those above name dealerships, those dealership’s integrity, their history of their only charging sticker, and that information leads to your being totally wrong.

However, in this case, being wrong will make you very happy.

The ME will sell for sticker at every dealer who treats his/her customers correctly.

Exception, someone late to the party, goes to a non-scrupulous dealer two weeks after the first one’s have arrived, and demand to get theirs immediately, will pay +$10,000 over sticker, maybe even $25,000 over.

Last of prior proper planning by a ME purchaser resulting in them paying over sticker, is their own stupidity.

Anyone who is considering a smaller or a local dealer or even a medium sized dealership for their ME purchase, needs to find out that dealership’s exact charging history for all the examples I cited above, and act smartly by walking away as pricing dictates.

I may be out then never have and won't pay mark ups or sticker. As you say they will make a bunch of them My C7 today is running just fine '15 Z51 Comp Seats, PDR, 9200 miles

Will someone allocate me their 2020model C8 in late 2022/early 2023? In other words I’ll buy it after your depreciation. Red or black. Up to 20k miles. A Right of first negotiation to buy?

Default Definitely have preordered

My experience... I ordered a C7 in March of 2013, received the car September of 2013. This time I’ve ordered already. What helped me order the C7 and still get an early car Vin “1313” is the fact that the 2014 Corvette did not come to the January 2013 auto show in Cleveland, the car that was supposed to come was wrecked by a GM engineer (It was the blue one on it’s side up against a mountain) so no one here had actually seen the car including me. I was entirely rewarded when I first saw my car, the first in person sighting I’d had. So I’m ALL IN now!

The stories I have with my 14 C7 are unbelievable

Being the first is not that important to me but it sure is fun

I have had lots of first year models, and not just Corvettes. I can't say I regretted buying any of the first year models have owned, or that year 2 was so much better I had wished I had waited. The two big things for me are price and delivery date - I won't ever pay over MSRP for a mass produced car and on a weekend summer car, it needs to be in my possession before Memorial Day so I can enjoy the full season with the car.

I want one super badly but I don’t like first year cars of new generations and I’m definitely not going to pay over sticker. Hell, I don’t even want to pay sticker.

Im going to wait until the GS/Z06 version is available. I won’t be first but I’ll get it for a good price and get the most for my money.

Make it triple black please!

Kerbeck began accepting deposits on the C8 today: https://kerbeck.com/c8/
Terms and conditions are spelled out. Seems very fair $1000 gets you a spot and when everything is announced, you have the right to cancel and get your initial deposit back. Once your order is placed, the deposit needed to place your order goes to 5% of the sticker price and is non-refundable.

I'm not so sure there won't be a market adjustment this time around. Really depends on supply and demand but Kerbeck will be your best bet as they will have the largest allocation of all of the USA dealers.

I wonder if anyone recalls how long before the C7 reveal it was before Kerbeck started taking deposits... They are the largest dealer...

Order what? I guess you could tell the dealer: "I want the next new model Corvette that GM produces" "I also want this, this, and this on it"

Lots of stuff can happen in 1-3 years waiting for a car. Like OLD AGE and what goes with it.

Agreed. Had a 2005, have a 2014. Buying a first year is a non issue.
