I do make about half of what I made when I worked. But things worked my way especially moving out of CA. That was a HUGE increase in available funds. And while his pet peeve is valid, for him, I can tell you that a comfortable retirement, while not lucrative, FAR FAR FAR outweighs the need or desire to go back to work JUST to make some extra money. The thought of trying to make enough money to buy an ME Corvette especially if it's over $100K actually makes me shudder.

The lack of raises or other methods of wage growth are a large part of what's kept inflation in check.
I feel for those that don’t get raises. They continue to get further behind even with low inflation and this most likely affect those that need a raise the most. Now back to Corvettes and Porsche’s. Which ones the best

Instead of a M/E Corvette? GM and mid engine have sort of an oil and water ring to it for me. Why not buy from a Company who has been doing M/E for decades now. No matter how pretty the Corvette M/E might be, its last cousin was a Fiero, think about it.

GM wouldn't need a ME if it adopted a DCT and AWD, that would've put the ZR1 light years ahead of the competition and cost a hell of a lot less money in R&D.
I think the title of the thread needs to be changed or at least the discussion needs to provide some additional options other than a Porsche over a Vette. In the spirit of the title though this purple thing decided to join the Lambo drive last weekend....

Had a student bring a new GT3RS to a track day
So I was able to get some laps in it, Great car!
The Huracan looks a metric fuckton BETTER in person - Pics make that thing look horrible.
What beef do people have with the Huracan? It looks great. Not the best looking Lambo ever, that title is split between the Countach and Diablo, but still a very nice looking car.

It really doesn't. Focusing on price is just convincing yourself that something that is inferior is equal when it's not. A Morton's steak is always going to be better than an Outback steak, the fact that you pay three times as much doesn't change that.
