C8 mid engine at CarWeek?
Hello everyone! I have been extremely excited for Monterey car week 2018! Especially because I think that they’ll preview the next corvette to customers who are there, me being one of the people that is there I am curious. I’m sure it’s for customers who have purchased MANY vettes from them versus a person like me who has only purchased 4. Well leave your comments below if you agree. (PS they are officially bringing all of the mid engine concepts to concours d’ elegance) hmmm. Let me know what you think! Happy Friday.

Introducing the C8 in Detroit in January will have a far greater impact than would the LA show in late November. The Detroit show is still the #1 show in the country, and without the Germans showing in Detroit, the C8 will be king in Detroit. The L.A. show has too many exotics and German makes. Porsche is the # 1 exhibitor in L.A. (I go every year)

I'm sure GM will have a small invite-only group of their best, most premium customers. The ones who are at the top of the list for their limited, bespoke special edition cars.
Oh, wait...this is General Motors. Not Koenigsegg or Bugatti or McLaren or Ferrari. They don't have "clientele" or bespoke special editions. They're a mass market manufacturer who's customers haggle over lease deals and year end rebates.

Guys what is everyone thoughts on this possible conflict for GM about when to do revel.
If the C8R is going to run in GTLM next year then the Roar B4 The 24 is the 1st weekend in January 2019
This would have the C8R being showing at Daytona 1 week before the North American Auto show in Detroit?
Wonder how GM will handle this?
Its mandatory that all participants in the 2019 24 hours of Daytona must run Roar B4 the 24 so IMSA can set the BOP for the 24 hours of Daytona.
We know GM is already texting the C8R and I find it hard to believe they would text in public if they did not plan to run the C8R until 2020 IMSA season.
What do you guys think??

Burning Brakes
I can't imagine why GM would reveal the C8 ME to anyone at Pebble Beach this weekend. It's not their audience and it certainly would not get the kind of global media attention they want. Besides that, it would already have been leaked!

"In honor of jpee"
While I don't think it will be shown, this would be a great way to increase C8 news traffic. If GM allowed people to see one, privately, with no phones or cameras allowed(search policy), there would be a lot of internet traffic trying to collect all those opinions to piece it together.....Could be a good move on GMs part.
