At Carlisle and I have some news come on in
Well... I asked because I needed to know. The answer I got was very pleasing in relation to storage space. I asked someone who has become a friend over the last couple of years and knows everything there is to know about the ME car if in 2 or 3 years I could still buy a front-engine rear-wheel-drive Corvette because I don't want to lose my storage space it's not what I want out of my Corvette and the answer I got was pretty gloomy sounds like it's going to be negative Which flies in the face of everything I was told prior.
but I was told Flatout straight to my face not to worry about storage space it will be a non-issue and I was very skeptical it was then elaborated that you could fit two golf bags in the new car and you're going to be very happy at which point I advised this person I was going to The Bash this year and they confirmed by saying you're going to love the batch this year that's all I can say.

I don't envy the Corvette design team.
Some people want an Huracan competitor. ME, FPC, TT, small-displacement V8 that revs 8500+. Weight savings everywhere, alcantara and a carbon fiber tub like a McLaren. Happy to pay $150K, $200K, or more. Other people want a ME grand tourer with an an interior like an exotic. Weight savings not important. Instead they want leather (or leather on top of leather like an Aston Martin), room for golf clubs or bags for cross country trips, an interior quality matching top European manufacturers. Again, price is no object. Still other people want a retro FE, an old school rumbling V8, manual transmission, chrome wheels, and round tail lights. These people want 12% off MSRP and a $58,000 base price.
This thing is gonna look like Frankenstein.

I guess this is good or bad based on perspective. If a mid-engine car can fit two golf bags, it likely needs to be a BIG car. That isn't a good thing for a sports car. Hopefully GM has simply come up with an ingenious way to find storage space and keep the car small... otherwise, I think a lot of people will be more disappointed with the size of the car than they would be to lose a bit of space on a sports car. Size and performance/driving characteristics don't often go hand in hand. Bigger is not always better. I want a car that feels small, is light weight and has driving characteristics that come from that. I personally don't care if I can get two sets of golf clubs in the car. If I need to do that, I'll drive my BMW or my wife's Lexus to the course. So, like I said, it's really about your perspective as to whether this is good or bad news.

I don’t play golf but have been told a set of clubs can fit behind the seats in my Gallardo. It first bags fine. But dam I have a Tahoe if I am really worried about carrying things. Next weekend i am going camping with my wife and kids Tahoe will be the vehicle of choice.

people worry too much about that. GM isn’t going to have no space. But even if no room can fit bags in the passenger seat. One time I bought an AR-15 on sale when in my Gallardo and had to have my passenger hold the too big case in the passenger seat.

I hope it’s not an Aventador sized car. I want something that feels smaller and lighter.
On the other hand, the 720S makes pretty good use of space, at the expense of the engine not being visible. So, it’s possible to have good storage space in a smaller car.

I really hope it isn't a primary concern for designing this car. Gotta have some cargo space, but I'd rather they make it so you can fit some overnight luggage vs a giant golf bag. Don't you guys play at courses where they store your clubs on site????

Shouldn't we be more concerned about cup holders and makeup mirrors? Adjustable lighting on the makeup mirrors for that Kiss concert are a must!

My R8 could fit golf bags in the passenger seat, I truly could care less but then again I have other cars I can drive. I think if they designed it right it could fit them possibly behind the seats, engine or in the front trunk. I know the NSX, Lotus Evora has a trunk behind the motor, only bad thing it cooks your stuff. IMO I have always thought It’s not going to be the Halo Lamborghini fighter it’s a base car and a z51 to replace the current FE. The Z version will be targeted toward those hiigher performance models. Since GM is in better financial shape today compared to when they designed the C7, the corvette team has more money for this ME project, I think they will hit it out of the park, time will tell.

you must be short to fit clubs behind the seat in Gallardo...... make sure you park under tree for shade
