But what about the cupholders?
I did a quick search and, as far as I can tell, this hasn't been mentioned here yet. I find that hard to believe.
Anyway, had the Vette out this evening while running a few errands. The wife had left a bottle of water in the console cup holder. If it matters, it was a standard (12oz?) bottle, unopened. The thing was flopping all over the place and I wasn't even driving hard. It occurred to me, with a ME, there is no torque tube running down the middle of the car. So, there should be a LOT more room for useful cup holders and usable center console.
If the ability to haul two golf bags and/or half of my worldly possessions cross-country and back is a critical measure of success for the design of the C8 for some (or most, as we are being told), what should we expect, require, or demand in the cup holder arena? Starbucks Venti? Big Gulp? Two liter? Six pack? Twelve Pack? Keg? What about a center console? Cooler for the twelve pack? Gun rack? Some kind of whiz-bang infotainment gear? Just wondering what is the minimum expectation here that, if not met, would trigger the death of the Corvette. According to "most."

Based on the CAD drawings it has the same substantial height central tunnel as the C5 through C7.. Unless the console itself is ridiculously tall a deep cup holder ain't happening. I've never even tried to use the "cup holder" in any Corvette I've owned as a cup holder. Bottled water with a top beside my thigh is it.

Back about 40 years ago we bought a new 7 Series BMW. I went back to the dealer and said there is no cup holder. He said, of course not..... this is The Ultimate Driving Machine..... not a restaurant!
We've had a dozen + Corvettes and the cup holders, when they finally were added, were good for holding small change. I have absolutely no use for anything else....

Agreed, adequate cup holders are much more useful (both for the masses and frequently) than the ability for certain old timers to carry multiple humongous golf bags in the trunk (versus just putting them in the passenger seat).
Flip-out hidden cupholders in the dash (that still hold different drink sizes securely) I think would be the ideal setup.

I’m a lot more interested in Victories than hauling golf clubs.
have to admit that I ordered a Cup holder in my upcoming Lamborghini Aventador Super Veloce Jota

There will be cupholders folks. Two of them in the center as usual. Where am I supposed to put my beer on the way to the golf course? With my clubs that will inevitably fit in the frunk? We are not uncivilized.
