I love it! Quick someone take that pic and put it in Red, Yellow, Blue, Black and white please. Totally drooling. I keep refreshing youtube, looking for a video with sound of it going around "The ring". Thank you Chevy/Corvette team, Happy Labor Day!

Back tail lights are not the finished product, you can tell when you exspand the pictures plus other reasons that I can’t say.

Can people now get their head out of the sand and realize that this is not a Halo car at 150k and follow what I been saying, that this release of the C8 ME will be a base/Z51 coming out of the gates. The next version will be the Zora Z C8 double overhead cam faster car, then years after that the ZR1 version.

Really like the angle of the car here, makes it look exotic yet with the "Corvette" look

Joe you lost me with this comment ? Are you saying you think that what appears to be the back glass is really part of the camo and it's hiding the buttress and vertical back glass with a flat deck underneath?

Maybe I misunderstood your comment?

To me it look like the coupe has a back glass similar to the C7 and you may or may not have a view of the engine or that rear space has a cover over the engine and is used for storage .

Yes, that is what I am saying. It's clear that the camo is sagging and it's clear that it has slots for air to escape. I'm presuming that the back glass is vertical and the rear deck is flat over the engine and transaxle, and that there are air escape vents in that rear flat deck and that is why there are air escape vents in the flexible camo covering that is stretched between the buttresses..

Photo of a second car that has even more camo covering the rear window and deck. If the window is the same as the C7, then why are they going to great lengths to hide it, while clearly showing off the design elements of the rest of the car?

That's not camo JoeC5. Thats plastic, you can see the camera is set into a mold. Pretty sure that's a close to final design for this variant.

Yes I have a certain gut feel for certain aspects of the C8 but I don’t want to come across like a know it all—- I truly don’t know what this beast is going to look like but I still believe there is false paneling on the side intake.

I can see that the black section has some type of wrap over it.
You can see cut line coming down the side of back glass that it's cut out further on left side than the right side .

Black camo also has bubbles in the wrap.

Not saying your observation is wrong just wonder with such a complex camo cover in the rear to hide the real appreance seems like it would interfere with the texting as it would change air flow and aero dynamic of the car significantly.

It's Clea that the tail lamp and head lamps are just generic place holder's. It looks like the headlamp do not have a cover over them as the wrap looks concaved?

Love the front and sides! Hoping for a better view of the rear end without all the camo and plastic covers since it looks HIDEOUS from the back right now.

Overall I like it!

Let me ask you this question about air flow and drag.

Which configuration has the lowest coefficient of drag...…….a pickup truck with the tailgate in the up(raised) position, or the same pickup truck with the tailgate down(or removed)?

I really don't know what to think now! I was super excited that this cars look will blow almost anything else out of the water and now I am just confused. I will reserve full judgment until all the camouflage is off, etc but at the moment I am Luke warm-warm on it. Does is look like a $200K+ car? Perhaps after the camouflage is off? Does it look like a $100K+ car? Definitely!! And the first thing I noticed is the rear end and Camaro came to mind! I'm sure upon full reveal it will look nowhere near a Camaro but it still has me nervous because it seems like GM and the Corvette team can't fully develop a rear end as sexy as the front.

Anyways still super excited and can't see the full reveal.......and where are the interior shots? Hope there are some out there.

Happy Labor Day everyone!!

Joe as normal in your attempts to be argumentative on all subjects you completely missed my point.

If your correct and the what appears to be a similar design like on a C7 or a 458 Italia is in fact a hard cover hiding the true design my question was simple.

Would that not effect the aero dynamic of the true design.

I never stated which design was more efficient.

Joe even when someone says you may have a point you have to be argumentative.

It's clear why your disliked by so many forum member who put you on ignore.

It seems you enjoy being a d**k.

Well as I've said many times I have zero inside knowledge or sources. But I feel like we must be talking about different things. With apologies to FirstVetteSoon I broke out photoshop. The red line seems to me to be clearly the line of the door:

This line also lines up perfectly with the leading edge of the side scoop. I can't imagine that is a coincidence and it distinctly doesn't look like Pac Man and more like the sketches you showed. I guess it is possible that the part of the scoop to the left of that red line is false and covered by camo. My eyes don't see it though. Especially in the side view...that leading edge looks real with no camo pieces that could be removed later:

If you are talking about something else when you say false paneling then sure. I just don't think there's any that is changing the profile line of the scoop.
