Chrome wheels on C8
Just a thought those who luv chrome wheels in my mind that might not be a great choice on a C8 - using Ferrari / Lamborghini as reference and not saying C8 is either - imo the Ferrari styling is the best looking car on the planet

Sorry but I just cannot understand black wheels. Reminds me of hot rodders back in the day with necked rims. Chrome for me any day.

Chrome is heavy which defeats the purpose of having a performance car. Chrome seems to be popular with the older generation. I have a friend who say until Corvette gets away from chrome wheels he won’t take it seriously. I personally don’t care as for each their own to personalize their cars as they paid for it.
I did see a Ferrari 458 with chrome wheels and I a told my wife, I guess having money doesn’t mean you have class. Polished is nice option and is lighter., i liked chrome on the old generation Corvettes. If they don’t offer it move to aftermarket wheels.

Here we go again. My experience - had chrome wheels on my C4, C5 and C6 Corvettes. For my C7, I decided to try something different, so I went with black wheels. Wasn’t that keen on them in the beginning, now I love them! The kids tell me they love the way they disappear when the car is moving. Now I know what the kids mean! I’ll be staying with black wheels for my C8.

I don't understand why some people give a **** what others might like. If My Corvette has chrome wheels will that make your Corvette slower?

C7's too -- picks up all the black trim. I really like the C7 black wheels on lighter colors like white and silver
I just hate black wheels on black cars, though (especially C7's which are the one Vette model I do not like in black)
Just personal taste; I had a black C4 and the machined wheels added the perfect amount of contrast IMHO...

Love chrome wheels. Just cann't understand the black at all. Polished is ok but tend to look "old" if they are not properly cared for. Mine didn't come with chrome so now I'm looking at an aftermarket set to replace them.

If you want to save your self a few bucks do the "wheel exchange" with West Coast Corvette or check out Bob's House of wheels. They'll explain it all on their web page and WCC is a forum sponsor. BTW it's always amazing how the "wheel police" come out and start spouting off about chrome wheels vs black wheels BS. Some people have way too much time on their hands and not enough correct information. Good luck!
