Comparing photos is ridiculous. Odds are against the photographers standing in the same spot, with the same camera (sensor size), with the same lens, and same focal length. Let's get real.

Can't get the true auora of the car until you "physically" see it

Its one of the engineer's computers, that's not the actual center screen, nor is it vertical like that

Sorry, Zerv02, I'm confused. A Dual Clutch Transmission isn't an "automatic" (torque converter) transmission, at least to my limited understanding.

So can you clarif?

Thanks again.

hopefully you’re being serious and not picking on the OP...

DCT is not the traditional torque converter automatic transmission. But I believe OP means DCT because it IS considered a type of non-traditional “automatic” or automated transmission- another non traditional is the CVT- which has a manual gearbox with two computer- driven clutches... You can usually direct the computer to control these clutches through paddle shifters. Simple test is you can shift the car to “D” mode and drive it.

Let's be blunt here. If the gears can shift automatically then it's an automatic. By definition.

The common torque converter setup represents just one way to accomplish that.

DCT is Automatic by definition. You can put the car in standard/comfort driving mode, and the shifting is done for you, boom automatic. Sport, you have some assistance before you hit redline, track, ur on your own. Again, similar to Lamborghinis DCT.

Stick to your fortè....interior descriptions....

You were part of the greatest leak in Corvette history...
That the corvette is going to have an updated and more modern interior over the last generation .

Huge.

Why? His description of a DCT/automatic is exactly correct -- the one verifiable fact in this whole thread. I have no idea if he actually sat in a C8 or not, but he is correct that a DCT transmission is an automatic. If a human being is not 100% of the time required to decide when to shift, it's an automatic. The definition of automatic has nothing to do with how many clutches are contained within the transmission. Deal with it.

Edit: Here is the dictionary definition: A system in a vehicle that changes gears at different speeds without direct control by the driver.

Hey pietro, hope all is well with you this Thursday afternoon. Just a question, if you don’t care about anything that I have to say, why do you keep coming back to my threads quoting me.... just block or ignore me... please.*
