Sounds kind of base model Corvettey. I really like the sound of the C7 NPP exhaust. Would not have a C7 without that option.

And that Zed R 1 is demonic. Of course it would win the sound battle in this thread.

Take a listen at 2:02+ driving up the driveway. Here's a link to that point, but the time links don't always work on the forums:

(Ugh, I can't get it to not embed and link to 2:02, sorry.)

That sounds like a V8 to me. Way too deep for a V6.

That tells us that the majority of the mid engine C8 client base actually prefers that sound, and that’s what thery’re Going to get.
Is this a different clientele than bought the Stingray where 90% of them purchased the optional NPP exhaust?. I'm with you on more refined, and making the car more upscale. A lot of people have expressed that they want a quieter cabin in the C8. I can see the exhaust being quiet while cruising, but when you get on it, it should have some sound. This doesn't. That really takes the fun out of it. At the very least pull in a few more harmonics. This thing sounds monotone.

Its pretty much the same type of clientele, with of course of few newbies to the brand...like I was a newbie for the C7.
There probably going to want some sound,
and they’ll pay for some NPP sound.

I think going up the driveway, off idle it sounds like a V6. The section on the track right before that it sounds more like a V8. The bottom line is if we should have to guess and it has a V8, then the exhaust system needs retuning.

Sounds like a V6. Don’t hear the classic turbo noise though.

I listened to this video two more times, and I think your dealer may be right. It sounds like a V6, and it is muffled down like a turbo engine would be. I think it might be a 90 degree V6, perhaps the 5.5L V8 turbo engine with two cylinders lopped off. The 90 degree bank angle would make it sound a bit more bassy than a 60 degree V6, and sit a little lower in the engine bay. A V6 version of the 5.5L V8 would be a 4.1L If the dealer is right about 550 hp, then the V8 version would be about 730 hp, perhaps for the Z06 version.

No wonder the back window is covered up.

I think we are on to something here.

Isn't rebound negative camber true for all parallel A-arm systems where the upper A-arm is shorter? Am I missing something?

I have pos camber gain in droop and roll understeer simply by placing my own upper control arm in the optimum location which gives me a 15% lateral gain on inside tire's friction circle.
Much respect! Is your custom upper A-arm longer than the stock one?

Sounds like an NA V6 to me. The side scoops shape are very obvious in these photos; the near vertical opening is not what I see hidden under the camo.

Sounds like a V8 to me. Actually sounds similar to the the Mercedes AMG GTR, just a bit more "American". The Mercedes has a low displacement biturbo DOHC v8 btw and its DCT sounds like the vettes too:
