Thank you vettedna,
The beauty, capabilities and greatness of this New Corvette is captured in plain sight.

Look at it carving its way through the track .
Poised and stable ,with dominance and authority.

So far in all the combined videos that I’ve seen,
there were at least 4 cars(2 with 19” front wheels, and 2 with 20” front wheels)One coupe and one convertible of each set up.

I believe one of the cars is a full manual transmission car.

Now, now, you can't be getting my hopes up like that.

What makes you believe that? Did you hear it shift? Was there a view of shifter? Or is this a more general "there's gotta be one" belief?

One of the down shifts sounded like it might be a manual based on the throttle blip.

Default lates video

Whoever thinks there was any indication of a 'manual' based on the sound and blip between gears has never owned / driven a modern performance oriented DCT. Sorry to burst the bubble for the 3 pedal guys.....

truly exciting times indeed. the best times to live is NOW. I am really thrilled with all these C8 stuff. One part of me feels like before Christmas, (and never wants this to end). You know there are presents, but it is a mystery what are in the boxes.

The reason I thought it was a manual is because the blip on one of the down shifts was not as crisp and spot on as a DCT would be. I think you missed my point.

It is sad that I went and listened to that timestamp again just so I could dream a little longer? LOL

Well, I think we can kill the "What kinda engine is in it" discussion, that sounds like a push rod V8 to me.

It is certainly a cross plane crank V8.

Unmistakable sound of a V8 - it sounds a lot like the current LT1 which argues against a flatplane crank. Harder to tell if it is OHV or OHC. As for the downshifts, no way to tell if that is a DCT or manual with active rev match. I can make those noises in that short period of time with my C6Z M7 with active rev match engaged.

I don't see how anyone can tell if an engine is OHV or OHC by the sound, except perhaps for the maximum RPM limit.

Certainly sounds like a cross-plane V8 this time, THANK GOODNESS! It's always fun to see our American cars with big thundering American V8s passing the Euro cars.

Someone here said it was going to have a square steering wheel like the Ford and you can see it plain as day in the overhead still frame.

Yep, that sounds like a V6 glad I listen to so many on the forum! I personally think it could be a 4 banger

To me that sounded like a DCT with an N/A V8, they are so fast on downshifts and upshifts. I have owned 9 DCT/PDK cars still loved my manuals.

Best sound was at time 32 to 34

Nobody here said this video sounded like a V6. Other videos have to other people. If nothing else, the engine sound was anything but pleasant in the other videos. For all we know, they changed the exhaust. No one here can say unless they are in Germany right now.
