What is the expected weight for the C8?
Are the weight estimates for the C8? I can’t see it being anymore than the C7. They should get back to the C6 weight.

I expect it to come in somewhere between 2,700 to 4,200 pounds.

If it has AWD, then it will weigh more than the C7. If it has RWD, then it will be less than the C7. My vote is for RWD only!

Same construction as a c7, same size as a c7.... no torque tube. The mid engine vette should weigh less. Now, if the c8 uses new lighter construction technology, it might weigh much less....

I'd be shocked if it came in at 3200lbs. I'd guess around 3400lbs for the base model, going up from there for the HiPo models.

In case anyone is keeping score I guessed 3168 pounds....
But,of course with full tank of gas and with my golf clubs and golf cart loaded up in the rear ...I expect it to come in at about 4600 pounds.

We all hope it will lose weight from the C7, but past experience has us unconvinced it will do so.
They are going to release a $57K base model ME car, there will be a nicely optioned Z51 for high 60s. My guess is this car will weigh about 3250-3300#.
But the car they should build, would be a NA 7.0-7.4 liter, Z06, Manual trans with a 6th gear that tops out at 185 mph, manual seats, lightweight battery, iron 2 piece rotors, and 18" forged aluminum wheels all around. This should be the 'track performance' car. This car could close in on 3100#s quite easily.
Then of course there should be a luxury cruiser thing in the vein of the C7 ZR1. You know, real fast, but also real heavy, and expensive. Seat vibrator, Vert, Supercharged, hybrid, AWD, etc... This car will weigh 3900#s.
