I can believe that the C8 will only be auto. While shopping for a C7, dealer told us that something like 17% of C7 were manual.
BTW I rented a 2018 Mustang GT with an A10, what a rush. I was tempted to buy one.

I don't agree -- it's just a matter of taste. We know the materials are great, and it has a prancing horse and all, but honestly it is not all that attractive to me. It happens -- Ferrari sometimes misses the mark. Put those materials in a C7 interior and I believe in a blind test most would opt for the Vette. We'll never know, of course.

Cup holders? We donít need no stinking cup holders. ! ; )

Camel bag over the seat back with a wraparound straw. Thatís all you need.

The title is clickbait BS, but it's a good attempt a guessing what it might look like based on available info.

That said, interiors are horribly expensive to design & build. I wouldn't be surprised to find a lot of carryover from the C7. It appears that they may share the same windshield and surrounding structure, if not the entire cockpit. Why not? An entirely new build would dramatically increase the cost of the car, and the space requirements would be identical.

Some of the early mule cars appeared to be using doors and cockpits from a C7. Keeping as many common parts as possible would go a long way to keeping the car affordable.

GM recently patented an electric clutch actuator that could be used in the C8.

Wouldn't make much sense to bother designing something like this for any front engine layout, and few, if any GM cars still have manuals in them anyway.

The shift mechanism would be tricky as well, but others have managed to do it, so certainly not impossible.

Those switches in a straight line look like they came off my boat

I shake my head at how ridiculous that "rendering" is while writing this. You might as well say that this Avalon interior is going to be the new C8's interior, it lends the same f'kn credibility and "factual" analysis.

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you the all new Chevrolet C8 interior:

Tell me, how is this any different than what OP posted?
I think it's fun to speculate and see how reality vs. speculation turns out. Seems like a pretty boring world if no one came out with renderings until the actual unveil.

One of the things that I've always liked about Corvette design is that the interior has always been driver centric, ergonomic, and intuitive for the driver. While we all like some of the modern tech cars have to offer these days, sometimes, especially in a performance car, less is more. A performance car should be all about the driving experience. The driver should not have to look for things or fumble for switches and buttons.

I'm not saying it should be a spartan cage, but the interior proposed here is simply way too much stuff. Keep it simple, have the tech, but keep it localized and intuitive. In reality, there is no need for buttons and switches. Voice command technology is so advanced these days, you can simply tell the car what you want it do. So, keep it comfortable, well constructed, and driver focused.

Ridiculous thread trying to guess this.... but they had better not make a center console like that w/o a proper armrest. Put your arm down on that thing with all sorts of buttons and touch screens and who knows what will happen.

I donít think itís ridiculous, I think itís just for fun to pass the time while we wait.As for the armrest, see post #26 for a photograph of the actual interior. You can clearly see that there is a center console rising up toward the main dash. Near the elbow I am sure there is a proper arm rest possibly with cupholder! In the rendering it is not shown because it was not shown in Zerv02 s drawing and would be closer to the viewer in the foreground out of the picture.

I can't wait to hear what my wife says when I tell here, "Hey baby, I like the look of your transaxle."

They basically look the same to me... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense either.
