Default Yet another new C8 de-camo render

I started with this image, mostly because it obscures the front and rear of the car, which are the hardest to decipher.

Here’s where I’ve ended up.

This transition shows how I’ve ignored the extra filler inside the scoop and the likelihood that the this transition shows how I’ve ignored the extra filler inside scoop and the likelihood that the width, depth and shape of the scoop more closely resembles the C8.R

There are a lot of decent renders on the Internet. This is my favorite, I’m not sure who did it or if it accurately overlays an actual photo.

I always create mine from actual camo shots of the car, so that the stance and proportions are accurate. As I’ve scoured the internet for new camo shots and other’s renders, this is the best place I’ve found for discussion and analysis of the camo shots. Feedback appreciated. I just realized I failed to watermark my images. Oh well, I’m not a big fan of water marks anyway. They are pretty easy to get rid of anyway.

Wow...nice job. This one looks like a real car. I sure hope Chevy will let us order the C8 less the rear spoiler.....not caring much for it.

Great render! But this C8 is one ugly duckling if it looks anything like what were seeing.. Damn that sucks too as Corvettes have looked so good for a long while now. For having no room inside to barely move and a heftier price tag these are gonna be sold to some extreme folks thats for sure.

I agree with you there. I’ve seen a number of angles were the spoiler looks OK, this is not one of them.

Looks fantastic...simply painted, with a slight modification to the scoop.

Try putting the targa and hatch creases,it’s gonna come alive .
great job.

Very nice job chazcron! This render looks really good, and the real deal will only look better! I like your approach and the result.

The C8 is really going to be revolutionary for Corvette!

I'm looking forward to the next generation being revealed.

Yeah, I debated that last night as I was finishing up. I decided to leave them out. I may add them later.

Very good ! I think even GM might be impressed with how close this looks to the real thing.

Your rendering skills are showing but it's not even close to the real deal. You've rendered the faux panels onto the scoops.

Jerradl1987’s rendering does fix two things— making them more correct. The hood is not inset below (in height) where it meets the fascia in its outer 1/3’s (nor its sides), and second, the large front hood “V crease” does extend forward.

Getting us closer to where FVS’ render was a while ago. Lastly, FVS’ render is more proportional, and accurately looks like the car is slimmer than in the gray renders.

This is one of my favorite renders so far.

That's the closest render to the real thing. The side scoops are still off but they're at least sloping the right direction.

Flip over the top window line and apply it to the scoop shape. That will get you very close to the real deal.

Edit: I'm referring to the FVS rendering the post above mine. The others in this thread are hideous monstrosities.
