Will post more details soon

I once hand carved an F16 model from acetate about 2 1/2 inches long as part of a scale display exhibition. I love that plane! , ). It was fairly detailed for such a small model. Now they can 3d print them and have beautiful diecast models. Progress.
Flip the script buddy. Go kick some butt! ; )
if I find myself in Detroit I’ll look you up. I’ll follow the smell of jet fuel!

It is a beautiful plane! I need me one of those models for my desk!
Lol, good motivation! You got it! See you in Detroit!

Yes, that's the one I was thinking about.
Lot's of cool stuff happened since I mentioned that! You guys are all awesome!
Here are some of the photos others have posted with my own interpretation of what they show. I think the latest renders have captured them pretty well

Very interesting to see that picture because I also see something here in that scoop shape but I am thinking it is more of a muscular cosmetic aspect.
Line is in Blue. Very Testarossa-ish shape.
I really messed up this one but it gives the idea.

I believe the side scoop is as displayed on the Nurburgring. Think about it, why would they risk testing the car without it's true aero/air intakes? Would not provide realistic enough test data for the purpose of tuning/adjusting the final production vehicle, it would throw off the readings.

Had to laugh at the many pathetic and so serious critiques, negatives, even calling commentators bozos, and I'll call you on it. Is this a hobby, or is their lives so filled with desperation that they have to be quite severe in their comments - unfortunately a version of the bullying problem that we see all the time amongst young people as a result of being able to do it while hidden behind a wall of anonymity. I know I experienced it when selling my C6 Z06.
I've been a collector for decades with some very rare Corvettes and Shelby's, along with my C7 Z06 driver, and although I'm as passionate as anyone, they are cars folks. Must be naive of me to think we're supposed to have fun with this, not enter into a court of inqusition.

Bullsh t.
I also have inside scoops, but none of you bozos will ever hear them because NOBODY LEAKS INSIDE INFO!
Anyone with inside info will never spill it because it would put someone's job at risk. That's why we haven't heard jack squat about the C8 despite a fleet of them being on the public streets. That's how we know Zerv02 is completely full of sh t.
Tell you what, Zerv02: if you post your "scoops" then I'll give the thumbs up/down based on my own inside info?
Careful Zerv02...I'll call you on any bullsh t!

Yeah I'm sure all those CAD drawings are fakes.
Also, and maybe you weren't around back then, but Jalopnik had a drawing of the C7 out about a year before it was introduced. Nobody really believed it but when the actual car was revealed it was dead on. Not close, but the exact car (in Z06 trim sans the wheels)
Leaks happen all the time, regardless of how hard GM tries to stop it. Some of it is BS, some of it is true. Time will tell who is for real and who is a phony.

That's too bad. I really hope it's closer to the CarScoops rendering above, which I like a lot even with the appropriate scoop shape adjustment. The red rendering above, which someone purporting to have seen it says is very close, looks too ***-heavy. That's one thing I very much dislike about many ME designs. The CarScoops design is a more attractively balanced shape.

Designers who do that are the ones most likely to miss the mark. They should be paying close attention to what people say with regard to the likes and dislikes of folks' reactions to various renderings.

I don't think the folks who designed the Miura, the '63 Sting Ray, the 308 Ferrari, the XKE, and other such design icons paid much attention to anything but their own brilliant instincts. Sure a little bit of focus-group work would be useful info, but in the end great designers lead, not follow...

If only more car designers would listen to the laypersons, chattering away on internet forums...

And it is obvious there was/is plenty of stuff still covered up.
