2022 Corvette of the Year Winner -- Unmodified
2021 C4 of the Year - Unmodified Winner
Default Full 360° render of the C8 Corvette updated renders

Here is a 3d visualisation of the c8 Corvette i made. I used Photogrammetry on videos of the camouflaged test car to get the proportions as close as possible. I modeled a clean model over the the Photogrammetry model to get everything nice and clean but i didn´t include any details like lights mirrors etc... i just wanted to capture the main shapes of the car. There is of course some guess work involved here since the Photogrammetry wasn´t perfect but it should be damn close.

Thank you bdsvavars! Very nicely done. Great for you to display it as a video. Exciting to see the C8 in full rotating view.

I hope there is a little more definition on the rear deck, perhaps like the 488. Otherwise, I think it looks great. I'm not seeing ugly in the design at all - it's not quite as exotic as the current Ferraris but much better looking than McLaren's and it clearly retains some corvette styling from the C7 which is a good thing.

The good news for those people who hate it - wait for it - you don't have to buy it!....

It's amazing when people cannot stand contrary opinions and this need to beat the dead horse all in an effort to apparently win some sort of foolish argument on the internet...

That's why they call it a "forum."

And as new information emerges on the design and details of the C8, I am prompted to offer comment.

I think that anyone repeating their optimism over and over about the design of the new Corvette--despite the obvious--is far more annoying than my take grounded in REALITY.

That is one ugly *****. And I'm one passionate Corvette and American car lover that is moving quickly from "disappointed" to "royally pissed off."

How ANYBODY on the professional design team thought that was attractive is beyond comprehension.

This is probably a better demonstration than GM will give us with the real car!

very ferrari esque at a fraction of the price, if that's ugly, then beat me with that ugly stick. Very nice render and while there is always room for improvement I think if this design or something very similar hits the streets people will be exited. Ironv, I'll take the one you leave behind, I'm curious why you think it's so ugly and what designs you think are beautiful.

I have to admit I'm a bit old school and like the 68-72 vette but I made concessions and have a c5 with tiger shark front and specter werkes rear.

I happen to think the c5 is ugly and chose to fix it, this one starts out quite a bit better looking.

One hopes that someone at GM may be monitoring these threads and perhaps they may take some of our opinions into consideration before locking in the Z06 version. To this end, repetition is good and necessary.

Some of us have been waiting over 40 years for the mid engine Corvette. We really don't want it to be ugly, regardless of its luggage capacity! Besides, it would be a crime for the C8 to be so ugly when the C8R is beautiful!

I wouldn't worry that GM wants it to be ugly. They are designing around so many engineering constraints that guys online with a pencil and paper or photoshop are free from. I think they are doing a great job with it so far. So while some want to critique every little 1/8" bend, curve, flare, etc... I am comfortable they will make a great looking C8 base, a better looking z06, and an awesome looking C8.r that will have many things on it that would be impractical for a street car.

I doubt they are sitting around in a conference room hitting refresh on the forum minute by minute waiting for IronV's criticisms so they can win him over.

“Aztek type ugly”? I wouldn’t go that far. But like most successful designs form must follow function, balanced. This 360deg render gives me hope the design/engineering team will give us what we expect, a Corvette proud to own.

Now if if you want “Ugly” where form follows function in the extreme check out the “Ugly Stick”. It gives me meaning when my brothers said I was beat with one.

They waited for Ed Welburn to leave GM before they continued with this abortion. Shame on GM. As a Corvette lover, Ed lovingly restored Mitchell's Stingray. He understood culture.
Lamborghini obeyed European pedestrian laws as did Corvette. Because there had to be space for golf clubs up front, the front became that of a regular ugly passenger car. Corvette continued with their awful looking splitter in order to deflect pedestrians over the roof of the car. Lamborghini did it this way, like all ME sports cars do. You simply can't have a high nose on a ME car

. To attempt to recover from this fauxpar, the rest of the car has to suffer.

Its IRON V's opinion.
Not sure why so many people beat each other up on this forum. Maybe the forum is inhabited with retired: Hockey players and Football dudes.
LOL
At any rate......I am 110% thrilled with the C8 and it will never be uncovered and looking like a UGLY car ( in my option)
The 360 above is amazing and I'm proud of the person who did it
Cant wait to see the C8

I completely agree however it is my opinion him repeating his negative opinions over and over and over (and over and over) is tiresome.

I guess i should just take others advice and block his posts from view. I hear it makes for a more enjoyable forum experience
