Nothing wrong with either of those....the 2nd picture looks so much like a Lamborghini Miura.

By todays standards, but keep in mind that in that era, men were wearing pastel colored polyester leisure suits with screen printed silk shirts, and white platform shoes. It was what it was.

The Cerv III that came out in the 80's looked great (for the era). The Pontiac Banshee looked real similar and better when it came out in the early 90's.

Way ahead of its time but as usual GM did nothing with it. Corporate Conservatism and inbreeding really has always held GM back. Oh and btw it had a TT DOHC LT-5.
Sound familiar?

I agree! And age or era have nothing to do with it. A well proportioned, esthetic line of a classic car remains so over the decades (and commands high premium prices). A dog (like the Aztek) remains ugly over time that nobody would want to buy at any price.

DUDE!!! You forgot the sideburns, and the ****-stash. Not to mention the chest wig, and the plated gold medalian necklace.

Rolling to the disco in a brown on tan C3 with 178HP, and a 3-speed TH was the bomb.

Get it right... or don't get it period

A. The bodylines on this car are stunning
B. The wheels and ride height make it look like a kit-car reproduced by Hot-Wheels

^^^^
Ride height is fine (look how low the area below the door is to the ground). As usual, it has the GM ridiculous tire/fender clearance.... for snow chains, I guess

Bob Lutz arrived at GM when the Aztek was released. He really liked it and so did I. Kids loved it also and it reached it's target market.

The problem with a TRUE show car (which this is) is that when you actually make it into a REAL car (side mirrors, windows, roof, windshield wipers, etc) it's not near as cool and everyone bitches that the production car "lost it's soul".

I believe everyone who saw the Aztec as the "target market" had a 12G shotgun

It may look fugly now, but I saw this car in a blue color, or something very similar to it at the 1989 or '90 Detroit Auto Show and it looked amazing. Obviously long ago, but it seemed very cuting edge back then.

I always liked the Aerovette. Very sleek design. I got a chance to see it in person one time. It's a shame, GM got cold feet.
