The people you should feel bad for are those who bought a $200,000 Porsche 911 Turbo S, which looks just like a $50,000 Porsche Macan. At least the Camaro is a good muscle car (and has a Corvette engine). The Macan is a cheap SUV with a 4 cylinder engine.

I wasn't referring to base prices but rather to the price I would likely pay after options & TTL. I am pretty confident you can expect a 3LT Z51 or whatever they end up calling trim levels will easily break $80k. The C7 did. The C8 will be no different.

I wrote a long response to one of the posts here and then realized that taste is subjective and I have no way to change that in others. So I'll just say that anyone who hates the rear end and won't buy the car because of it should just find some other car to be interested in at this point. The Z06, GS, and ZR1 variants that will likely come about won't change things enough to satisfy those who can't get over the "Camaro" they see when looking at the rear of the car.
GM may read forums but this is an extremely small selection of potential buyers, so the only way to Express your dislike to GM is to not give them money. Otherwise your are simply wasting your time.
There are likely many of us on these forums who actually like the rear or are completely indifferent who are just tired of the same asinine comments that we have heard since the C7 came out and when Chazcron rendered the rear end the first time. There are too many people who believe that the C8 has to look "exotic" which is once again, stupid, as no previous Corvette has ever been accused of being "exotic looking". So why does the C8 need to look like a Ferrari? As long as the car looks good and performs as well as past Corvettes then it is more than fine.
But what do I know? I won't be buying the C8 for at least a couple of years, and I won't be buying a base level C8 either so I have no dog in the release years. I just know that Corvette's all look good in their own way, the C8 will be no different and if the rear end looks as decent as it does in the one leaked pic we have then the rest of the car will surely be good. It won't ooze sex appeal like a Ferrari F8 Tributo but I can own multiple C8 for the price of one, and actually get my hands on one new without having to jump through the Ferrari corporate hoops to buy new.

Chaz thanks for your work on this, it kept the blood flowing through my viens while I waiting for the release of the C8.....so 3 years from the release I will turn 65....that sounds like a nice retirement present to my self.. 3 years should give them good time to work out the bugs..thanks bob

Chaz... if you have the time a revision of your latest render to black out the grill stuff would be really cool.

I do find it kind of “stupid” that no American manufacturers have ever offered this.

I suspect over 65 years of success means GM knows their market very well.

Never said I expected it to be the Corvette. I just wish SOME American brand would do it. New model. Charge a bit more. I don’t mind. Just less than Ferrari & Lambo, with a network of domestic dealers who can handle maintenance :-)

Probably best to wait until the reveal anyways to declare that you "love it" or "hate it" either way.

Could be a bit humorous if it turns out that it really is a Camaro backside and the photo has been altered to look like it could be the Vette. While everything seems to match up even with the padded and cladded mules the way the top of the car looks squashed just does not seem right to me.

I think the first gen Viper fit the bill. It was pretty exotic looking when I first saw it. RIP

Excellent render as always Chaz! Question: Would you be able to photo shop this new render into the blimp hangar at MCAS Tustin as a back drop? You know, for all of US who can't go..... LOL!
