No "Stubby" Promise!
OK. I'm back. Yes! I remember those. And I have to say I was perplexed then and am now. In all the photos since those pics, and as reflected in the latest renders, it looks like the car lost a foot and a half off its nose.
Do you see that too?

everyone is doing the renderings with a body colored roof, which is wrong... the car will have a black acrylic roof like most C7's............. as well the side windows will stretch way back giving the look of a floating roofline.... someone please add this to the renderings and watch how hot this car becomes

Watching the Mecum auctions last evening and seeing a number of Ferrari's cross the block (ME and Front), The Enzo and LeFerrari in particular, I find the renderings of the C8 to be more pleasing to my eye than either of those. I am a Ferrari fan and do find many of their cars to be true works of art (specifically their front engine models), and even admire the Enzo and LaFerrari as they fall into the Ferrari arena. But after spending much time watching the C8 renders evolve here and than seeing those two Ferraris and comparing their proportions and lines to the renders here, I'm thinking the C8 will be less radical and more appealing to the average buyer.
I honestly think that most of us will be very pleased w/ the final product. Certainly there will be a few that will find fault w/ this or that when the car debuts (like the C7 tail-lights, Chrome grill piece and a few others), Overall, I think we will have a huge winner in the end.
If GM keeps the price of admission within reach of the current Corvette buyers, I think they will have hit it out of the park.

C8R lights look more curved/organic than this latest chop, but it's a very good one.

Chaz, I'm a big fan, but I gotta say that the black piece on the scoop is pretty much the only thing that doesn't really jive with the design. With the new video of the C8.R we can also see how the scoop will likely terminate below the door bulge/crease. As seen in this still:
I just think that this scoop design is much better looking overall than the scoop terminating with that door bulge. I would also argue that the C8 is probably going to take more than a few styling cues from the C8.R we see like the entire front clip as the C7.R was obviously a C7.

No source... all the renderings look like a 1990's kit car as everyone is using a body colored roof... this car will have a dark Plexi roof..as well the side windows wont chop off where the renderings are showing, this isn't a R35.... I expect much more modern looks then the kit car look the renderings currently have
So go ahead make as many smart *** comments as you feel necessary, it will be all the more fun to dig them up later and poke fun at you once the car is revealed !

Source ? I don't need a source, common sense says this car won't look like the kit car these guys are showing in the current renderings... its not a R35...its going to have a much more modern look, black roof, sweeping side windows..
