One for the road. Here you can see the hood strakes are farther out and I widened the frunk. Can you tell I changed the overall width slightly? I used a wide angle lens, this flattens the nose a bit.

Well worth the $169K price tag!

Funny...

But I thought that hollow was a spot for a Urofunnel so you never have to make a rest stop...

That pouch is clearly for baby comfort and service marsupials.

Ignoring the obvious again.

Jeesh.

The Aria was deisgned by a team with ties to GM's Design Studio so it's possible they used it to elicit feedback on various design motifs planned for the C8.

I love the cohesiveness of the rear end, but it leaves little space for a trunk so the C8 needed a different design solution. Pay special attention to those side scoops.

The Aria team drew inspiration from the Aerovette XP-882, which features a horizontal accent line that runs the full length of the car, a design element present in the C8.

It's worth considering that one of the first projects the C8's chief designer Tom Peters worked on after joining GM in the 80s was the Corvette Indy:

The Corvette Indy design was refined for the CERV III

Peters clearly has a fondness for a particular side intake design. I wonder what the CERV III's side intake would look like if updated to Hwasup Lee's angular design style?

Even as a C7 owner I prefer the flowing curves of my C5s and the lack of contracting vents. I hope, hope, hope, Peters used the Indy and Cerv as his root inspiration for the C8. The wrapped ring cars show the car has some lines, but it appears more flowing and curvy than the C7. One thing I noticed vs. the C7 in my garage is how much the quarter panel body line curves back down at the rear. The C7 basically flattens out in comparison. Another thing I love is the fact that it won't have the "fish mouth" front end. Not that that looks bad, but it's been done over and over and over.
