i’m not being snappy or mean, and forgive me if it has been asked of you but does your best guess at the design excite you? As you answer each question asked and as each day passes I’m becoming a bigger believer you are going to be real close and that is starting to make me a little sad, not sad that you are correct but that the design just seems really off to me, so I hold out hope Chevy really got one over on you.

If I may and this is just my $.02 but I have a completely different perspective now that I have physically seen the test mules in person. This was noted in my post from a few days ago although I was only fortunate to see them in motion from afar as well as fairly close up. I too was not a big fan of the pics and designs out there but now... I am really excited to see the final results. And I know that I could be looking at a few "fake" panels on these things but the overall demeanor of the car is pretty damn awesome!

^ That's how it always happens. 2D photos, especially photos of camo wrapped mules with possible fake foam cladding, looks nothing like the real deal in person in 3D. You just lose something in the 2D. The C7's rear end is a perfect example... I don't like it in pics... it's flat and robotic. In person you can really see the details of the shape and it has way more curve that what appears in the 2D. My point is... when I get home from work and open my garage door and see it, it look sway cool vs. flat pics of a C7 rear end. I'm sure the car will look stunning in the flesh; and in pics too.

Agreed. It has been described as "stunning" by those who have been privileged to see it unwrapped.

I completely agree as well! I’ve stated this before but, when viewing the C7 renderings, in various magazines, I was really disappointed with the potential new generation, especially the rear end. However, once I had the opportunity to view the actual car ~ well, it won me over completely. Not only are the contours and sculpting of body lines more apparent, the perspective of size and comparative dimensions really comes into play, when personally viewed. JMHO, I’m in the group that has a deposit down for a C8 but, I will very quickly forfeit that position if when I view the actual ME, if I don’t love it way more than my C7. I’m also a hold out for the performance model too, be it Z06, GS, or Zora. So, I should have a good idea prior to checking off those option boxes. Save the Wave!

So Chaz, what’s your take on the forward “notch” on the seat bottom? My guess was that there may be an optional access for a “submarine” belt mounting point for those of us that want to install a 5 point harness system. Or, do you think its just a styling feature like in a five star hotel, (big ballroom)?

It's too far forward for a crotch belt. It's just styling.

It’s obviously for a pee cup... ; ).
So so you never have to stop!

i would not not put too much faith in that seat, it may just be something that was dropped in so they could drive the mule.

No... that's the seat. You can see the "stingray tail" split window styling motif throughout it. The indent is too far forward for an anti-sub racing harness pass-through.

Dont think so, why would they have split the seat to allow a harness pass through. If it was “the seat” the pass through would be built in. It may be close but don’t think it is the final.

What is so special about the C8 that it can cause a distortion in the space/time continuum?
How is that so many other sports cars 2D photos, even from the rear, look smokin' hot?

I mean, I see your point--to a point. But as several others have used the "C8 only looks bad in 2D, it'll look great in 3D" proposition, I have to ask again...

Curves still missing.

No race seat has the pass through that far up. The anti-sub belt is supposed to wrap up under your *** to stop you from submarining out under the lap belts. That "divot" in the center is just a styling thing.
