I believe we have established that the ME cars on the road have printed pieces (to change the body lines) on them and then covered in camo, making it very hard to grasp their actual design. My point is that Chaz has actually made these heaps of mish mash into something that actually could be a believable Corvette illustration on the cover of magazines and websites. Very impressive work.
As for the actual car- many of us won’t like that either.

It’s called Blender, it’s powerful and it’s free, but it has a steep learning curve. Which I’m still learning.

It looks as if it may be elevated. Also looks like there three spots that look like bolt holes. The one on the upper left looks like there may be a bend or crease leading from it to the side.
What bothers me is that supposed hatch, totally revealed to us here (sic), looks very ‘industrial’ to me and doesn’t look right on any of the 3 renderers work we are seeing, in this thread Chazcron especially.

P.S. Great latest ME render Chazcron!

IronV understands form. Our 3 artists are not designers. It must have the shocking presence of the C2 and C3. The C7 almost achieves it. These 3 cars represent a dramatic departure from each other. yet retain that unique Corvette aura. Where is that unique talented man that can create a proper C8 ME Corvette. Does he exist? I can't even come close.

Here is a design that I derived from the C7 proportions, but it still doesn't even come close to what I expect.. I'll know it when I see it. It must be like what Pink Floyd did to rock. Far out.

Retains C7 proportions.

Cab moved forward. Looks like a Vette.

Rear 1/4 merging into the front fender, a ME thing.

First FE car to have the rear 1/4 merge into the front fender.

The C5 is a huge departure for Corvette. Rear 1/4 merging into the front fender. Marvelous. The C6 is a rehash of C2 and 3 Vette designs. A dead design which Aston Martin hangs on to.

I have always preferred the C5 design. Smooth, flowing lines, no lumps and bumps like the C6 and C7. Unfortunately with the aero on the new designs, they have a lot of departure from smooth lines.
I also could not design a car, just commenting. Whatever the C8 looks like, I will want one.

Shaka, let me just add this, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because one feels their area of understanding is form does not mean another persons idea of beauty is without value. Also, most all of us have a "type" of person we find attractive from the get go but and outstanding personality and character can bring us to love a type that may not be ideal at first sight. I don't know where the new ME will be on looks but if it looks like that render I would be very happy, totally works for me......as long as I don't have to get a spoiler! lol

I've always thought that hatch could be fake. Just the way the bottom of it is black and looks like it's covered with tape or vinyl. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was just a bogus shell stuck over the real hatch. Who knows though.

I have always wondered if it might be a hatch within a hatch. We hav seen the big hatch which extends full side to side. This would let you access the luggage and/or the engine. But could the window area be another hatch to allow for basic engine service?

Actually the ME rough sketch(with a little more work and tweaks) looks better than any of the advanced renderings (again no disrespect to Chazron) we've seen so far.

What Chaz, FVS and B'jorn do is very difficult and time consuming work. I'm much more interested in the design than the art. I can sketch a design out of my head in minutes with a pencil.

The front fascia’s are absolutely state of the art design that screams 2020 Corvette. My only complaint with the C7 was the fender vent and Shaka tweeked it to perfection on this sketch.

I haven't used Blender, but I am familiar with it. I didn't realize the Blender output looked that nice these days in the right hands. That's impressive. Keep up the good work!

As always great work.

If possible could you do a side view in Miami Blue with black wheels ?

I love to see GM try reaching out to a younger audience with some striking colors.

The 911 in Miami Blue is outstanding I can only imagine with the beautiful lines of your c8 render it would be striking in Miami Blue.

Well, I have a few advantages. In college, my degree was in fine arts/illustration. I’ve worked at a photo studio as a retoucher/digital artist for almost 30 years. I once got to work up an entire calendar of muscle cars. That was probably my favorite job ever. Lighting a car is extremely difficult. One of photographers I work with really doesn’t like doing it. So I kind of know where and what kind of lights to use. Another important aspect is finding the right car angle to render and how to get the lights to hit it right. I’m not always great at picking angles. Blender’s way of handling materials, i.e. car paint was hard to figure out at first. It is vastly superior to the program I was using previously. The paint is really glossy and luscious.

here’s a link to those car calendar images, and some other stuff :
