chazcron's 3D model work in progress

Agree it is ugly by most objective standards, but it's a Porsche, so it will regaled as beautiful. If it wore a less prestigious nameplate, it would universally be considered ugly.

They’re color coded depending on the thread direction. The two nuts from one side of the car spin on in a direction opposite of the direction of the other two. It would be a tragic mistake to mix up the nuts, so Porsche did that as a precaution.

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
It's the internet, I couldn't care less how someone "talks" to me here. All you did with this response is divert from my response that indicated Shaka may or may not be wrong but at least provides explanations for his opinion. You failed in your attempt to bash him without any evidence that he was/is incorrect, and you failed at appropriately disputing my post because, again, you have nothing to back up whatever claim you're trying to make.

Do you have a 918? I also think the older Gemballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R was the best looking aftermarket design for that body style.
I had to relook the 918 and I am completely mistaking the 918 for the older Carrera GT!!
I remember seeing the Carrera GT in person when it first came out. I think it was featured at the IAA Car Show in Frankfurt, Germany in 2005. I was not impressed.
I have to edit my post.
You changed my opinion on the 918, but it remains unchanged for the older Carrera GT. Haha

Progress render on the HT convertible. Initial exterior modeling completed. I'll look for a suitible 2019 convertible Corvette photo to borrow an interior to graft onto a render. If anyone has a photo suggestion, please post. Minimum resolution of 2000 px by 1500 px or so.

A suggestion? Remove the wing and tweek the side scoop. Your wonderful work is an educated guess, right? Then why not an uneducated guess and change the side scoop to something different. At minimum, it would be super exciting to see a different look on a model that seems so accurate.

Two way trunk?
This could explain the extra hump on the buttress. And gives full access to the engine and trunk.
Thoughts?
On second thought, would the seals work if the drop top mechanism stayed with the rest of the trunklid when it goes up?
Maybe the drop top section slides back instead of going up?
This makes the most sense. It would always go back, even when the trunk is conventionally opened, It is probably the most mechanically simple, too. The small center part is what covers the vertical storage for the top.

C8--the Curve Wasteland
Good lord. That's quite a list. But eyesight is awesome, as is appreciation for curves. None in sight on the C8. Many more on the C7 and galaxies more on the C3. McClaren, Ford GT both curvy creatures.

IMO you're really close to spot on, I think your model's trim piece may not show off quite as much shape.

I never worked with guys like Enzo or maybe Colin Chapman but I am quite sure they were mercuial at minimum and that is without the buffer of the internet. What I do see as a positive with Shaka is he is all in on Corvette and that is the kind of passion that I would want in a Corvette project.

That's really terrific, Nice find, thanks. I want the C8 or even the next FE Vette to go in this direction entirely. I wish I had the imagination to go there and beyond. I know there is a guy out there who can do it. Maybe the guy who designed this interior can do it but this render could use some work, Loose the polished carbon fiber all together. Everything indoors must be soft to the touch. Steering wheel ain't making it.
The design passes my 3 design objectives for Corvette though. Must be rich in Corvette heritage. Must be a mind boggling design like a C2 and 3 and lastly, it must look American,
Notice the stylised mid 60s two cockpit design. It sure looks American also.
I don't want it to look remotely like Ferrari or any other Euro car. Is there anybody out there?
This is far as I can go. Frustrating.
