Chazcron is correct. If the doubters are still doubting, here is one more picture showing the scoop going onto the door. For those who are still believing that is more fake camo, without saying more, I can tell you for absolute certainty that the finished car has the scoop on the door, with the door opening pressure release switch underneath it.

John, what is intriguing about that photo to me is the obvious camo panel at the top of the door. That would make the window line much lower then most of the renders have it. Tom...

Personally, I think the camo panel over the side scoop in the photo below is hiding exactly shape you note above. I always have.

When R&T posted the original, I saw the shape under the fabric camo, so I adjusted the brightness and contrast to show what I think is the underlying shape.

It's pretty obvious to me in this shot below where the camo is. Look how thin the side scoop is in this photo.

Personally, I believe the camo above is hiding this shape.

How about the C8-R?

Ok so is that piece tacked on like we see in most pictures or formed into the door skin?

You’re all correct, the scoop definitely starts at the door(very gradually),
although it ends lower near the rear wheel.

You do beautiful work Chazcron, but I sure hope the car does not have those lines in the hood, they're hideous.

This picture/render angle, while typical of most car shots, is much lower than our eyes will see the car. We will look down on the hood when we walk around it, see it from afar, etc, for our eyes average 5’ about the pavement, though in most car renders and in most automedia car pictures, we are often seeing it from a height of 3’ — though usually from the perspective of 1 1/2’ to 2’.

That rendered hood Chazcron will be exciting when we first walk around the car, looking downward at it. It is a Corvette, looks like a Corvette, picking up as insiders have repeatedly suggested some of the angularity/line definition of the C7.

Personally, I like the hood as rendered.

If this pic accurately depicts the body line of the door/scoop, most all of the models drawn are inaccurate. The rear fender line does not intersect with the beginning of the upper scoop opening.

What I don’t see is the top rear fender line intersecting with the scoop opening.

I think this is just about more deception, both Camo and non-production size wiper blades. Unlike the C7 there is no bulge in the middle of the hood but goes straight across thus wiper blades are more visible in the middle. BUT the driver side blade rests upon the pass side blade and appears not to totally retract. Note the significant differences between the C7 and the ME.
P.S. And no gap in the middle of the ME, probably fake hood too.

Maybe the new ME won't have side scoops! If Ferrari can do without them, maybe the ME can too. Btw, I sure would like it if the lines on the new C8 were similar to this one-off Ferrari SP38. What a gorgeous car, except of course for the backlight.

Hey look. They must’ve designed the C8 with an aero electric nose that can change size and length depending on the speed and road conditions.

in the top image the nose is very stubby and short, probably for easier parking.?

In the bottom image the nose is long for better aerodynamics when going fast.

What will they think of next?

Merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone!

especially you Iron V. ! ; )
