GM could have always priced the Corvette Higher... but always tried to make it affordable to the middle class professional and semi professional consumer.. the consumer demographic has not changed much..

At this price point and evolution change in design, they won't be able to build them fast enough. Just the selection of color options, and interior choices is what will fuel this build. BTW after the choice of vehicle, American consumers choose color above all other options first.

Agree with this 100%.I don't know how they did it but a mid engine supercar with 500hp for under 60k is an amazing accomplishment. They knocked it out of the park with this one.

The price will rise like the Nissan GTR. The top level one will now be over $200K. Give the Corvette a few years and the price will rise. For now, I am very happy with the C8's price.

I may have been incorrect about the $100k starting price, but let’s just see how far the options push this thing up. I’m guessing $5-10k more for a fully-optioned base C8 than a comparable base C7. Hopefully I’m wrong about that as well.
If I am, I’ve got my checkbook ready (and let’s be honest, I have it ready anyway), once I test fit my 6’2+ 220lb frame and give it a long test drive. Though I won’t lie, the 575hp F-Type and upcoming LC-F have my attention as well. I’ll probably wait for a Z or ZR and still have cash to spare.

maybe he believed the top of the line C8 ZR1 AWD Hybrid "ZORA" model was 169k?
point is, he nailed the interior didn't he? that's my take from it.. the pricing and other stuff was just an attempt at further conveying what "he" heard... look at that sketch.. nice job.
what did any of you guys "bring to the table"??

When GM announced that the base C8 will be priced under $60K one can assume one of two things. The base price will be less that $60K with destinations charges included or not. If the destination are not included (and a few car manufacturers (BMW for one) do not include shipping until you get to the summary for a final price. Other car companies figure destination charges into the base price as it is a flat fee across the board.
So if the base C8 lists for $59,999 and you add $1200 delivery (which is the number being batted around) we are at $61,199 (a buck short of $62K). So worst case (providing GM wasn't lying at the reveal), is $62K + tax, title, license and whatever the dealer rips for a "documentation fee".

No. He nailed the buttons. Everything else on the right side is in the wrong place or doesn't even exist (like the touch pad.) He gets credit for the buttons, but the rest is fantasy, and that he got the buttons certainly does not excuse his other fabrications, including the price.

Zerv02 saw the interior. He nailed it. The four Xs on the steering were for ZORA. And, it will be 169,000 for the TOP dog. He was off with the base price. I agree with one of the above posters in that he brought more to the table than 99% of the posters at that time.

2023 C8 ZR1 price
The ZR1 C8 will only be $5k more than the current 2019 ZR1 so no not $200k more like $150k....but that is a long way off....so we will see...
