Well, thanks for spoiling the surprise for everyone....

Car market collapse outruns GM moves to keep up.
"After GM ends production next year at factories in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, it will still have four U.S. car plants, all operating at less than 50 percent of rated capacity"

I think LMC has it right and GM cares what LMC says. The fact that you think LMC is irrelevant says more about you.

That wasn't the question. The question was what evidence there is to show GM EMPLOYED LMC. This quote of yours does not show that. It simply shows that LMC commented on GM, just like Road and Track or Motor Trend. You wouldn't claim GM employed either of them based on a quote they had about GM.

So, GM didn't HIRE them (for, you know, money) instead LMC did what all consultants do....Tell you what you already KNOW, in an attempt to show how smart they are. Now, had LMC come out with this as a PREDICTION 2 years ago, rather than a REACTION, they would have done something meaningful.

Back to reality, Mary Barra has addressed it and all you can do is use a FAKE number from a company that doesn't KNOW to show, I guess, that Corvette is doomed.
But, since you don't actually OWN a Corvette, I'm curious why you care, other than this hyperactive need to show everyone how smart you think you are.

PS. Why don't you join FerrariChat and troll them about inferior interior materials that plague Ferrari. I'm sure those guys would love your insight.

You are correct. I don't own a Corvette. I own 2 Corvettes, both C7s. You made an assumption and as usual, you are wrong. But keep it up. I couldn't care less.

Indeed.
I have a feeling, beginning late first quarter 2019 and continuing on....it's going to SUCK to be an American Crow. They will be THE featured menu item on Corvette Forum.

The good thing about a thread that starts with a stupid premise is that we all then use it for comic relief.
AND
we find out who the TROLLS are.

1. BGA capacity
2. Mating habits of the Western Spotted Owl
3. Trucks suck
4. Mid-engine Corvette is HOW MUCH?
5. What sauce and wine best compliment fricasseed American Crow

Some of these folks who think GM is going after Porsche overseas, going to have the C8 entry price >$150,000 or selling 100,000 units have no idea of the market or business! In addition I see a number of comments that show they have no idea why Gucci can sell $2500 handbags or why Walmart isn't their outlet!

GM is no doubt much smarter ALTHOUGH they have also been wrong predicting the future market before!

This is annual production data:
C7 sales in 2017 = 22,801
C7 sales in 2016 = 40,689
C7 sales in 2015 = 34,240
C6/C7 sales in 2014 = 37,288
C6 sales in 2013 = 13,466
C6 sales in 2012 = 11,647
C6 sales in 2011 = 13,596
C6 sales in 2010 = 12,194
C6 sales in 2009 = 16,956
C6 sales in 2008 = 35,310
C6 sales in 2007 = 40,561
C6 sales in 2006= 34,021
C5/C6 sales in 2005 = 37,372
C5 sales in 2004= 34,064
C5 sales in 2003 = 35,469

Zerv - with over 1,200 posts already on this thread, not everyone is going to read through the entire post. Would you please do a quick summary clearly explaining your position on this price point. What the $169,900 represents (within the model range), and any other pertinent info. Not looking for where you got your information, revealing sources, etc. Just looking for a clear description of what the price point you stated is for, without reading over a thousand posts looking for a simple answer. Basically, it would be nice to have a Cliffs Notes version of this book for people to reference later. It will either back you up, or disprove you.
