A true professional could take a base C7 and lap any amateur in any $300K+ supercar on the market within a relatively short period of time.
thats exactly what i was about to point out. When you start getting at the higher end of performance, its stops being about the specs and more about the talent and guts behind the wheel. Just like on the streets, lots of fast cars, it usually comes down to who has the ***** to go for it ( not always a great decision but will win a race)

Corvettes they also make you money, something that a Corvette will never do.
what? Corvettes are some of the most sought-after cars in the world. Yes, like most cars they depreciated but then after time goes by, all of sudden they begin to appreciate again. It's happening right now to the 68-72 C3's. Their value is now suddenly going through the roof, and of course, c2 and c1 are as popular as ever. So sure buy a 300k supercar, but you better not drive it cause if you do, it will depreciate just like all the rest.

Wow Monk. You really missed the mark here. Yes, some classic and exotic Porsches (primarily 911 derivatives) could have made you money had you bought well many years ago, and the same is true for some classic Corvettes. They've also had their share of clunkers (e.g. 928, 914, 924, 944, etc). I guess you haven't watched some of the big auctions lately. A perfect split window C2 brings big money, as do a half dozen or more other iconic Corvettes.

Like Corvettes, the vast majority of Porsches depreciate, albeit less on average than Corvette. Good luck buying a brand new Porsche and actually making any money on it in your lifetime.

No, it didn't.

Now, do you have anything mature to add?

I'm terribly sorry, Mr. Garland, but it did, indeed, go over your head. Even the original target got it and laughed about it and had the maturity to not be offended. It's a matter of understanding the overall issue and following the sequence of posts. The need to explain it takes all the fun out of it. For you to invoke "maturity" over this is even more laughable. Thanks for adding to the hilarity. Either think about it some more until you understand, or let it go. It's not worth hassling over.

I think we should just lock the C8 forum until the C8 is unveiled. Nothing of value is going on here except a pissing contest. And any news posted here is easily found online.

I dont need you to explain anything to me.

I understand it quite well. Some would rather be complete aholes and post snarky comments than to discuss the topic.

Thanks for the laugh though.

I don't think there is a chart, but the option is there to scroll forward and backward through 25 pictures. I just happened to be on that pic when I copied and pasted the link.
