WhaTs the chance the inside silver trim piece is the same shape as the intake scoop?
Note the unique shape of the silver trim , matching side scoops?

I can’t shake the idea that, at some point, there will be a ME Caddy halo car, and that will be the $169K model. And that it will use the pictured fob. ( Which will be shared with the Vette.)

What if....Just WHAT IF...the ME test car has been a Caddy all along and the C7 is planned to continue one for a few more years? Then what? That rumored $170k price tag and being produced along side the current C7 makes more sense. Think C6 and Caddy XLR versions 2.0.

IMO, there's no "what if" to it. Cadillac needs to figure out how to sell what it's got.
The mid-engine Corvette is Nessie/Bigfoot/Roswell all rolled into one. For GM to squander THE sports car opportunity of a lifetime by doing an ME Caddy first would be as bad as the NSX launch

One of the most intelligent things said in this thread. People who think that a C7 with "minor updates" will be produced along side a C8 are delusional, how in the hell do you think GM is going to market a 6 year old car all the while pumping the tires of it's all new mid engine Corvette? The ME whatever you call it is going to be a stand alone model sold under a Cadillac or Chevy banner, it will not be a C8, the C8 will be the successor to the C7, not a 169k exotic. I wouldn't be surprised if GM called it the Cadillac Cien:
